PCG is seeking a Human Resource Specialist to provide tactical Human Resource (HR) services in support of the Human Resource Business Partners (HRBPs) assigned to various business units throughout the firm. This is a new position, and an excellent career development opportunity for an individual looking to expand their HR knowledge and abilities, while providing direct support to the HR Business Partner function.

This position will be a key member of the HR team, offering a solid level of HR skills and experience in support of key initiatives. It is expected that this person will be a polished, experienced professional who is technically proficient in the HR functional areas of documentation, policy interpretation, and general HR services. This person must be hard-working with a "can-do" attitude, energetic and positive. The role reports to Corporate HR.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will contribute in a hands-on fashion, by applying their developed knowledge, skills and attributes highlighted below:

  • Uses working knowledge of the business to provide HR workforce planning support and guidance to experienced HR Business Partners and/or practice area line managers. In acquiring exit interview and other transition data, analyzes trends and recommends workforce plans to the HRBPs to increase Employee Engagement and make a positive impact on business results. Utilizes knowledge of various human resources functions to provide tactical HR support Excellent facilitation and communication skills, to be used in forums such as New Hire Orientation and other small group settings Acts as an effective liaison with other HR functions (i.e.: Payroll, HRIS, Benefits, Recruiting) Knowledge of standard HR operations and policies, and the demonstrated ability to follow established protocols, identify new needs, and document new protocols Understands how to help align HR programs with the needs of the Business Professional persistence Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to prioritize Compliance-minded Commitment to the discipline of HR, and interested in learning more Versatility, based on the changing needs of the business Results/Outcome orientated Enjoys being professionally challenged in a fast-pace, growing firm An appropriate sense of humor

Qualifications

Required Skills/Traits:

  • Team player, collaborator, with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated success supporting an HR Business Partner model, in a multi-site growing environment Strong organizational and time management skills, work ethic, propriety and professionalism.

    Approachability in a customer-focused environment Highly developed listening, analytical and creative problem solving skills. Experience facilitating small group and virtual discussions and presentations. Able to work effectively under pressure in a fast paced culturally diverse environment.

    Proficiency in MS-Office; adept at Excel and PowerPoint for data analysis and documentation.Required Experience: Bachelor's Degree in related field; 3-5 years' HR generalist experience Experience in professional services industry strongly preferred Experience in growing, high-performing, high-demand client-facing environments Proven track record modeling HR best practices.

VIEW JOBS 10/15/2019 12:00:00 AM 2020-01-13T00:00 Under the general direction of the Manager, Human Resources, the HR Representative is primarily responsible for providing business and administrative support for the HR Team of HR Business Partners (HRBP). This involves basic data gathering and analysis, project work, responding to inquiries from employees and managers, and general administrative tasks. As a member of the MGH HRBP team, the HR Representative will exercise judgment, take initiative, ensure confidentiality and participate in initiatives in support of the HR department. Responsibilities * Assists with entry level employee relations concerns as directed by HRBP * Liaisons with central services (i.e. Payroll, Benefits, Leave of Absence, Retirement, etc.) to assist with employee inquiries * Gathers and analyzes data related to standard HR metrics at the request of HRBP * Participates with compensation reviews by gathering employee resumes and salary calculations, and creating or inputting data into a spreadsheet for review * Provides coverage for HRBP leaves of absence and vacation; supports small business unit(s) under the guidance of an HRBP * Participates in job description reviews and makes recommendations to the HRBP * Coordinates the grievance process which includes scheduling the committee and room, gathering the employee files, assembling and delivering packets to committee members, as well as updating the committee list on SharePoint; Coordinates and participates in Grievance Committee training for new committee members * Completes and/or facilitates employment verification requests as needed; works with departmental leadership and Records to complete employee file requests * Provides support during the annual benefits open enrollment period by answering employee questions, participating in trainings, scheduling sessions, preparing information for distribution * Builds and/or runs Access and PeopleSoft queries as requested * Participates with, and often manages, special projects as identified by HRBP * Assists managers, employees, and/or timekeepers with Kronos and PeopleSoft MSS issues; Acts as contact person for departmental organizational changes to PeopleSoft reporting structures * Conducts exit interviews as directed by HRBP * Helps organize training and development initiatives; may participate in training sessions * Facilitates alternate orientations for new employees and prepares benefit packets * Supports compliance-related activities (i.e. The Joint Commission, other regulatory visits and audits) * Inputs corrective action in PeopleSoft; ensures that corrective action and other relevant HR documentation is maintained in the electronic employee record * Schedules meetings and coordinates meeting/conference space to include scheduling, invitations, food, set up, audiovisual equipment and general set-up needs * Collates information packets for HR initiatives * Participates as needed with hospital-wide employee recognition events * Assists with diversity & inclusion efforts and initiatives * Responsible for keeping the office environment well organized and maintained; orders supplies, manages mail * Performs other related duties as assigned Working Conditions The Human Resources Department is a fast-paced environment. This position involves meeting deadlines and working with a diverse group of individuals. The HR Representative will be based at 75 Blossom Court and will have frequent travel throughout the MGH campus.
