This position can split their time between the office and working remote, or they can work remote (after onboarding/initial orientation) full-time until further notice.

The HR Generalist performs related duties at the professional level and may carry out responsibilities in some or all of the following functional areas: Recruiting, Interviewing, Onboarding, new-hire orientations, employee relations, performance management, and investigations

What are the primary duties of this position:

  • Administers various human resource plans and procedures for all organization personnel; assists in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains the employee handbook and the policies and procedures manual.

  • Participates in developing department goals, objectives and systems.

  • Helps to administer any compensation programs; monitors the performance evaluation program and revises as necessary.

  • Performs benefits administration, including claims resolution, change reporting, approving invoices for payment and communicating benefits information to employees.

  • Conducts recruitment effort for all exempt and nonexempt personnel, students and temporary employees; conducts new-employee orientations; and writes and places advertisements.

  • Handles employee relations counseling and exit interviewing.

  • Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars.

  • Maintains company organization charts and the employee directory.

  • Assists in evaluation of reports, decisions and results of department in relation to established goals.

  • Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to continually improve efficiency of the department and services performed.

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or Business Administration.

  • 4 to 10 years of Human Resources experience.

  • Fluent in verbal and written English.

  • Able to multi-task, have demonstrated organizational, detail orientation, prioritization skills and time management skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a team oriented, high demand and fast paced environment.

  • Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality and work with highly sensitive data and information.

  • Solid communication skills to effectively deal with various levels of management, staff and/or outside contacts.
