The Human Resource Generalist is responsible for performing HR related duties on a professional level and may carry out responsibilities in some or all of the following functional areas: recruiting, global HR reporting administration, employee relations, training and organization development, affirmative action, employment law compliance, policy development and implementation, and performance management.


  • Conducts recruitment efforts for exempt and nonexempt personnel, students and temporary employees; conducts new employee orientations; monitors career progression

  • Administers recruiting process by posting internal and external ads, prescreening resumes, interviewing, tracking applicants, preparing offer letters, administering background checks, coordinating relocations and/or temporary housing, etc.

  • Coordinates new hire work stations with hiring manager to ensure set up of computer, voice mail, and office supplies (stapler, tape, rolodex, etc.)

  • Assembles global HR statistics monthly; formats and presents global headcount, turnover, safety and recruiting numbers

  • Assists in handling of employee relations, counseling, disciplinary issues and exit interviewing

  • Assists, coordinates and/or develops and delivers employee trainings

  • Tracks mandated and voluntary training for all employees

  • Maintains EEO/AAP reporting and training requirements

  • Coordinates the performance management program annually

  • Assists in the administration of benefit plans including 401K, medical, dental, vision, life, AD&D, STD, LTD and Section 125

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business or related degree from an accredited college or university

  • 2 years of professional HR experience preferred

  • Proven project management skills

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality

  • Knowledge of HR practices, employee relations, and employment law

  • Ability to handle multiple priorities

  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint

  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Demonstrated team orientation

  • Excellent interpersonal skills

  • Demonstrated presentation skills

  • HR or SHRM-CP preferred

  • Experience in Oracle HRIS, Oracle Recruit and Oracle Learn a plus

Senior Human Resource Generalist Job Description Insulation Distributors, Inc. is searching for a Senior Human Resource Generalist to join our team! We are looking for a motivated, mid-level professional to provide support and oversee the company's HR functions, including but not limited to, benefit and payroll administration. The Senior Human Resource Generalist will be responsible for but not limited to: Benefit Administration * Prepare and communicate information to employees regarding benefit programs, procedures, changes, and government-mandated reports * Approve and reconcile benefit-related invoices and submit to A/P for payment * Ensure proper and timely delivery of benefit payroll deductions for employee 401k and HSA accounts * Process Affordable Care Act (ACA) data and reporting * Orient newly eligible employees and process enrollments, changes and loan requests * Assist with audits to benefit plans for compliance with government regulations Payroll Back-Up * Oversee the payroll administration * Evaluate and troubleshoot payroll duties * Perform the following tasks as needed: * Update all employee information in the HRIS system * Process payroll through the company payroll system * Process employment verification requests for all employees * Maintain payroll employee master files as changes occur * Ensure proper filing of federal and state payroll taxes by company payroll system * Ensure proper reporting to labor statistics to states on a monthly basis Human Resource Administration * Supervise and provide support to payroll and recruitment functions within the HR Department * Deliver company employee information as necessary * Provide courteous and prompt resolution of employee inquiries * Partner with company Managers regarding performance management items Job Qualifications * Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint * Integrated knowledge and understanding of Human Resource practices and procedures, including federal, state and local employment laws * Experience with Performance management * Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills within different levels of the organization * Sound judgement and decision making capabilities * Detail oriented, with strong organizational skills * Strong understanding of basic math skills * Knowledge of DOT regulations a plus Education and/or Experience * 8-10+ years of Human Resource Experience * 2-5+ years of Supervisory Experience * Experience processing multi-state payroll systems required; Ultimate Software a plus * Experience in recruitment required * Bachelors Degree in Human Resources, Business or related field Why IDI?
