The Human Resources Coordinator will undertake a variety of Human Resources administrative duties, assisting with the day-to-day functions of the department and partnering with the Talent Acquisition Team and HR Specialist. The coordinator will be involved in a wide range of support activities within HR, with a primary focus on benefits. The candidate must be able to work in the office at our HQ in Overland Park, KS.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Serve as the first-line human resource support to managers and employees
Exhibit a high level of customer service while addressing employee-related requests and questions
Assist with audits of payroll, benefits, and other HR programs
Coordinate and administer employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, and retirement, pension, and annual open enrollment
Provide benefits support to employees and assist with benefit-related inquiries and problem resolution
Administer and track employee leaves of absence, including workers compensation
Collaborate with employees and managers to facilitate smooth return-to-work processes
Maintain accurate records of leave balances and usage
Support the development, communication, and enforcement of HR policies and procedures
Review and approve benefits invoices for accuracy and take measures with carriers to correct
Assist with the preparation of the performance review process
Assist in the creation and maintenance of the employee personnel files (electronic) from hire to termination - daily maintenance of HR data through various electronic programs
Assist with the preparation of employee-related correspondence as requested
Assist with the execution of events, including corporate annual holiday party
Process employee verifications
Provide support during benefits and payroll processing
Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
Qualified candidates will have 4+ years of Human Resources experience.
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Self-motivated with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Highly professional with a strong customer service orientation, commitment to meeting deadlines, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
Strong professional, independent thinking skills with strength in problem solving and the ability to offer constructive opinions and creative solutions
Familiarity with the entire recruiting life cycle
Ability to work independently
Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality
