Position Overview:

As the Senior HR Strategist and Business Partner for our future acquisition, Charles River Development, you will be responsible to help drive the design and development for the future state operating model for the businesses across the globe. As a member of the HR leadership team you will develop and maintain partnerships with Management Committee members as well as other senior leaders to determine operating model improvements within each business function, as well as designing a new enterprise level services function that is responsible for executing cross-company activities.

Current areas of focus include:

  • Assessment of key challenges of the existing operating model for each corporate functions and identification and execution of the benefits of transformation and any required investments

  • Driving co-ownership of this program between initiative and corporate leaders

  • Coach and consult with executives on operating model design considerations

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop governance structures for both HR strategy that aligns with specific business deliverables and milestones

  • Assist with the future organizational design for each business

  • Plan workforce transitions to manage impact to employees in terms of hiring needs, skill development requirements and internal mobility

  • Consults and influences executives on all strategic HR issues including workforce development, change management and employee engagement

  • Overall responsibility for the development and delivery of the business unit talent plan

  • Provide leadership and due diligence efforts on location strategy

  • Execute on a broad communication and change management program as part of overall messaging on the future vision for the company

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, human resources or related field

  • 15+ years of progressive experience in strategy development, organizational development, and/or change management within a large and dynamic organization

  • Demonstrated ability to set talent strategy which supports the business goals and objectives

  • Proven management and leadership skills

  • Proven communication, consulting, interpersonal, and influencing and negotiation skills

  • Proven ability to build strong working relationships with all levels of management globally

  • Ability to shift priorities in a fast-paced environment and act as a point of connection across various parts of State Street

VIEW JOBS 11/11/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-02-09T00:00 The Boston-area based HR Business Partner will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources functions and duties at various sites for ABM's Education Services accounts and will travel to various locations approximately 75% of the time.  The HR Business Partner carries out responsibilities in some or all of the following functional areas: Recruiting/Onboarding, HRIS, Employee Relations, Training and Development, Benefits, Compensation, Organization Development, Administration, Employee Discipline and Management, Union partnership and Employee Maintenance. Essential Duties: Work closely with the management team and hourly personnel to motivate the workforce and build a positive and thriving team environment. Administer all Human Resources policies and programs for the assigned line of service. Process all leave of absence requests. Counsel employees and assist in gathering information and statements as needed. Work with Safety Quality Manager and safety coordinators to ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local occupational safety and health laws in the assigned line of service. Work with operation managers and supervisors to ensure employees at all levels in the location receive clear objectives and are regularly measured against those objectives. Assist local management in the annual review process. Ensure managers document disciplinary issues appropriately. Conduct conflict resolution investigations and investigate disciplinary matters. Help local managers carry out personnel matter responsibilities. Deliver and Monitor training programs for effectiveness and legal compliance. Recruit, onboard and deliver orientation, as necessary. Communicate benefits information to all employees within location. Comply with all safety, security, compliance and quality standards and procedures established by the Company, Clients, and regulatory authorities. Job duties may be modified at any time. Minimum Requirements Bachelor's degree in business or HR related field. At least 2 years of progressive HR Management and generalist experience. Current working knowledge of employment law and regulations including FMLA, ADA, FLSA, EEO/AAP, Workers Compensation, unemployment, and labor relations. Experience with blue-collar or customer-focused work environments. Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced, independent environment. Bilingual in Spanish English strongly preferred. Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft programs such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
