General Summary

Duty First is seeking a Senior Consultant to serve as a member of Duty First Consulting's (DFC) Human Capital Management (HCM) Team. The HCM team works on projects intended to help organizations transform by optimizing their workforce through realigning and refining operations and processes, ultimately improving their effectiveness. Our professionals address organizational and personnel barriers so that clients can reach mission objectives. The Senior Consultant will provide assistance to the HCM team by planning and coordinating programs and completing assigned project activities with minimal supervision. The Senior Consultant will assist with various project management tasks including managing the project schedule and mitigating risk.

Essential Duties

  • Work on HR process design, HR strategy, and HR Service Delivery Models, all focused on the transformation of the HR business.

  • Create quality deliverables related to HR processes, operating models and HR assessments on time and on budget.

  • Monitor project progress by tracking activity, writing status reports, and recommending actions. This includes administering or managing specific projects, programs or tasks.

  • Support efforts to develop and evaluate training.

  • Lead employee engagement and change management efforts.

  • Support efforts to analyze data and develop action plans based on it.

  • Develop Organization Development (OD) interventions.

  • Plan and manage effort to define to-be organization processes, capabilities, application of key technologies, and performance measurements/KPIs.

  • Assist with the procurement of new business, which includes writing proposals.

  • Lead internal HR initiatives.


  • 4-6 years of experience in a human capital field or in management consulting.

  • Familiarity with the following human capital topics: talent management, performance management, training, and leadership development.

  • Familiarity with OD interventions and change management is preferred.

  • Understanding of how Human Capital programs work together to maximize human performance and the overall organization's performance.

  • Project experience in a human capital or HR related field.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Ability to work well in a team-based environment is required.

  • An intermediate understanding of human capital principles and laws.

  • Basic project management skills.

  • Presentation and facilitation skills are required.

  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking.

  • Excellent writing and oral presentation skills.

  • Strong attention to detail is required.

  • Ability to multi-task is required.

  • Ability to obtain a US government security clearance.

Required Education

  • Graduation from an accredited four year college or university, ideally with major course work in human resources/human capital, business administration or a related field.

  • Master's in OD, I/O Psychology, or a related field is preferred.

  • PHR or SPHR is a plus.

Job Summary: This position is responsible for establishing and implementing talent management that align to key business needs and enable professional growth of MyEyeDr. talent. The Talent Management Consultant will develop and manage talent strategies and programs including the areas of talent planning, leadership development, talent assessments, succession plans, and performance management. The Talent Management Consultant will work closely with the Learning and Talent Development team and senior MyEyeDr. leaders in helping to ensure that the company has the right people, at the right time, and in the right role to maximize our service to our patients and retain and develop our associates. The Talent Management Consultant will be accountable for ongoing needs assessments will work to ensure leaders are supported in building sustainable talent pipelines. This role will partner their HR Business Partners and business leaders to deliver data-driven talent solutions that are efficient, effective, flexible, and easy to use. They will integrate, design, develop, deliver, and implement the broad array of integrated talent management and development solutions to help the organization retain and grow talent to achieve current and future strategic needs. Essential Duties and Responsibilities * Establishes and owns talent management best practices, processes and tools * Leads the sourcing, implementation, and customization of leadership development initiatives ensuring they are aligned and integrated to support talent management and ever-changing business objectives * Develops and manages external consultants and vendors to plan and coordinate talent development and management programs and solutions. Maintains contracts, ensures quality and effectiveness of programs that are repeatable, sustainable and cost effective. * Interprets internal or external business issues and recommends talent management solutions * Solves complex problems, taking a broad perspective to identify innovative solutions where change is needed * Works independently, with guidance in only the most complex situations * Team player comfortable working at various levels in an organization * Ability to interface with all levels within the organization and able to develop and maintain highly effective relationships, externally and internally; works collaboratively with other MyEyeDr. Learning and Talent Development functions Work Experience * BA required. Master's in organizational development, leadership, adult learning, education, or related field strongly preferred or significant and relevant work experience * 5 years' experience in roles responsible for organizational development, leadership and people development, performance management, career management, competency modeling, and workforce planning.
