Human Capital Management Analyst - Position Management

The Ohio Department of Health supports a hybrid teleworking model. This position may work a hybrid schedule at the discretion of the manager or supervisor, which will require occasional attendance in the office for training, meetings and other operational needs. Employees must reside within a reasonable distance to their assigned headquarters for compliance with workplace reporting requirements.

What You'll Do:

The Office of Human Resources is seeking candidates to fill three Human Capital Management Analyst positions. These positions will analyze and evaluate position activity and provide technical assistance to managers regarding personnel needs such as creating job postings, coordinating and conducting job interviews, addressing classification issues and employment processing. These positions will:

  • Coordinate all position management hiring/selection activity (e.g., creating and filling positions, managing vacancies, position description drafting) for assigned positions.

  • Independently screen and evaluate applications received from job postings for compliance with applicable rules and regulations and/or labor contracts (e.g., posted qualifications, ESP assessment criteria, seniority).

  • Compose, process and enter personnel actions and candidate information into HR IT systems (e.g., OAKS, PersNet).

  • Independently review, analyze, write and approve (once granted signature authority) position descriptions in accordance with Chapter 123: 1-7 of the O.A.C. and related agency policies, procedures and directives.

2 years experience in human resources.

OR

Completion of undergraduate core program in human resources, business or public administration.

OR

1 yr. exp. as Human Capital Management Associate, 64611.

OR

Equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above.
