Courses: 7157-Nutrition & Wellness, 7157-Child & Adolescent Dev, and 0492.68-FACS 8, 7176-Principles of Human Services, 7174-Understanding Decisions, 7177-Relationships and Emotions

Required Qualifications: REPA/REPA3: CTE: Family & Consumer Sciences 5-12 or Workplace Specialist: Human and Social Services

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop curriculum to meet developmental goals and instructional activities

• Use procedures to post syllabus, projects/lessons, and grades to the online student information system accessible to students, parents, and the community

• Maintain a classroom environment consistent with established codes of conduct and conducive to positive learning

• Exercise open and respectful communication with families, co-workers, supervisors, and other school staff

• Measure progress and accomplishments of students towards their academic achievements on a regular basis and provide progress reports as required

• Communicate electronically with students, parents, and other staff members concerning student academic progress, attendance, and behavior

• Attend conferences and workshops in order to further advance professional development

• Work cooperatively with other personnel to improve instructional programs and the overall operation of the school

• Provide a safe, thriving, and respectful environment for all students in the classroom and on the school campus

• Administer frequent formal and informal assessments to monitor student progress. Analyze data to make instructional adjustments to improve student learning

• Participate in faculty and professional development throughout the school year

• Meet course and school-wide student performance goals

• Grade papers and maintain grade books

• Perform other duties as assigned

Salary: Based upon experience and qualifications

Contract: 185 days

About Churubusco Jr-Sr High School:

CJSHS is a grade 6-12 building with an enrollment of 633 students, and 33 teachers. Our school is a part of the Smith-Green Community School corporation located in both Whitley and Noble counties and within the city limits of Churubusco, Indiana.
