The Health Unit Coordinator/CNA is responsible and accountable for providing Quality / No Harm, Customer Experience, and Stewardship providing superior quality, competitive value and outstanding service by organizing unit activities, coordinating and relaying information to health care team members, patients and families in an accurate and timely manner; and by assisting licensed personnel in providing direct nursing care under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse.
Provides care to patients in a clean and safe environment.
Demonstrates accurate order transcription and communicates vital information to the appropriate staff.
Orders received are initiated in a timely manner.
Utilizes Health First computer systems with regards to order entry and order inquiry.
Maintains census board on the nursing unit with appropriate accurate information. Maintains Patient chart order.
Monitors for History and Physical compliance.
Facilitates response to call lights within a timely manner.
Demonstrates Super User ability with computer software applications.
Admits, discharges and transfers patients in a timely manner.
Collects, records, and reports accurate patient information.
Coordinates appointments and transportation as needed for patients.
Responds to call light in a timely manner.
Currently holds a FL CNA License OR Currently enrolled in a state approved Nursing Assistant Course or have completed an approved CAN Course and waiting to take the FL State Exam and must obtain Certification within 4 months of hire OR Currently holds a CNA License in another U.S. state and is seeking FL licensure and must obtain Certification within 4 months of hire
Certification: AHA BLS
