Technician Operator Responsibilities --

  • Responsible for the preparation and maintenance of United Tote equipment.

  • Repair, maintenance, and cleaning of the betting terminals.

  • Equipment installation and tear down.

  • Stocking of ticket paper on betting lines.

  • Unloading of ticket stock from freight trucks.

  • Labeling, packaging, shipping, and re-ordering of spare parts.

  • Loading and unloading of equipment on company or freight trucks.

  • Maintenance and repair of the infield or auxiliary display boards.

  • Perform minor repairs on terminal components, test components, correctly package components for shipment and order replacement components.

  • Develop wiring and soldering skills.

  • Understand how the terminals communicate with the Tote system.

  • Develop an understanding of the different wagers offered and be able to answer questions relating to the different wagers.

Hub Operator Responsibilities --

  • Creating a positive customer experience by professionally, accurately and efficiently answering, documenting and resolving incoming calls from customers with questions and/or requests for assistance in troubleshooting of communication equipment, racing software and betting terminals.

  • Proactively monitor error logs, system alerts, and communication networks and report errors per guidelines including escalation based on established protocols.

  • Maintain racing calendar and details for all global pari-mutuel race track events in race schedule system, including validating the accuracy of data.

  • As part of the final step in quality assurance process, perform user acceptance testing for new tote software versions.

  • Efficiently and accurately complete system configuration requests as assigned.

  • Act as a project team member for assigned projects.

Qualifications:

  • Required

  • Must be at least 18 years of age with a High School diploma or GED.

  • Ability to obtain racing licenses as required by state law and pass a background check.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Outlook, Excel and Word.

  • Passionate problem solver with excellent trouble shooting skills and can-do attitude who can maintain a calm demeanor in stressful situations.

  • Independent self-starter with proven self-motivation and the ability to work professionally and collaboratively with others.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to manage multiple or competing priorities with a proven ability to pay close attention to the fine details.

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.

  • Must be punctual and have reliable transportation.

  • Preferred

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree

  • Some experience with configurations of consoles, routers, port servers, switches and printers.

  • Some travel may be required.
