The Product & Service Lines Application Engineer is responsible for supporting the Product & Service Lines (P&SL) strategies of standardizing execution, improving technical performance and managing the product-service lifecycle.
Essential Job Functions
Maintains a safe, secure and healthy environment by adhering to Company/Customer safety standards and practices and to legal regulations, alerting others regarding potential hazards or concern

Supports the overall strategic vision of the P&SL's, including:
Standardized execution by
Supporting safety and quality standards
Provides a Technical Feasibility Assessment of a HTS application at the Quote Stage and includes a formal technical response.
Provides a Detailed Technical Job Package for Critical HTS jobs prior to execution. Package includes Equipment and Technician specification as well as relevant technical details for the application.
Leads Management of Change issues for HTS equipment.
Leading deployment of, and supporting standard process, procedure and technical applications.
Develops a library of job packages that can be searched and utilized for similar jobs.
Utilizes available time on continuous improvement projects
Developing and enforcing equipment standards, calibration and maintenance
Improved commercial performance by
Supporting key performance indicators (KPI's)
Supporting job walks, quotes and bid support
Supporting industry representation and influence
Providing technical expertise in support of divisional sales and profitability efforts
Managed product lifecycle by
Supporting application and incident technical support
Supporting risk identification and mapping
Supporting digitization and improved decision making
Supporting lean / agile processes
Supporting ideation / innovation and new technologies
Recommending acquisitions and strategic alliances
Supports the performance of his/her immediate and extended teams by
Influencing and leading P&SLM's, P&SLS' and SME's
Providing a formal technical response on the technical feasibility and options and modifications to the job parameters needed to optimize the technical success.
Generating a detailed formal job package that clearly defines all technical requirements for equipment, consumables, materials, and technicians to ensure technical success. Drives job specific information to the technicians, shop mechanics, SLS, and persons involved in managing the project.
Supports the execution by evaluating and responding to any technical questions or requests for the duration of the project.
Supports trouble-shooting and resolution of any job issues.
Defining tasks and projects to the staff
Engineering Degree (BSME) or equivalent required, accredited university or college.
Military experience with mechanical, instrument, electrical or computer application training and experience; or two (2) years' experience in an apprentice program in the areas listed above; or Trade School Degree in an industrially related field; or a similar Associates Degree; or three (3) or more years' experience in industrial operations or maintenance
Strong written and spoken communication skills
Strong computer skills, (Email, Word, Excel, Power Point)
Ability to perform a variety of tasks, often changing assignments on short notice
Ability to prioritize and complete work assignments by specific deadlines
Ability to work under extreme pressure, tight deadlines and constantly shifting priorities due to changes to the original schedule
Ability to manage multiple client relationships and develop win - win outcomes with customers
Experience working on, supervising or managing field projects preferred
Knowledge of Safety, Quality, Financial, Environmental, and Regulatory requirements
Experience reviewing models, P&IDs, Isometrics and other engineering drawings
Able to use MathCad and SolidWorks preferred
Travel requirement up to 10%
Position is located at the Alvin office
Work is conducted in a semi-private office/cubicle setting
Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday 7:30 am to 4:30 pm. Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee must be available during the core work hours of 9:30 am to 3:30 pm
After hours and weekend support is customary with this role
