HTM seeking an information security analyst.

Position description

This position provides consultative support and analysis for the purposes of supporting, integrating, and enhancing information security posture related to Mayo's ecosystem of people, processes and technology. Job duties include integrating multiple disciplines into the information security-based functions, including policy, process, and procedure development, business process analysis, data analysis, data informatics, systems analysis, risk management for strategic and operational planning and information security solution development and delivery.

Displays an ability to identify and define problems as well as generate and implement potential solutions while involving appropriate people in the process. This position may provide project management and analysis support for enterprise projects. Consults with Mayo leadership to provide unbiased and accurate information, analysis, and recommendations to support and advance strategic and operational initiatives.

Leads and participates in multidisciplinary teams evaluating strategic, operational, and financial aspects of the mission. Contributes to the enhancement of group effectiveness by exchanging information, collaborating with other team members, and providing constructive feedback. Creates and leads innovative processes to design, develop and recommend new approaches, methodologies and tools for data driven decision making and planning. Functions independently and initiates judgment in handling delegated responsibilities.

Qualifications

Master's degree in information security, statistical analysis, computer Science, business, or other related field and 3 years' experience in any of the following areas: information security, data analysis, risk management, policy development consulting, operational analysis, process change, electronic systems implementation, leadership, systems analysis (manual and electronic) and project management with broad-based key enterprise initiatives. May also have a Bachelor's degree in business, MIS, health-related or other related field and 6 years' experience to include several of the following areas: information security, data analysis, risk management, policy development, consulting, operational analysis, process change, electronic systems implementation, leadership, systems analysis (manual and electronic) and project management with broad-based key institutional initiatives.

Additional qualifications

Demonstrated knowledge of problem-solving methodologies, planning techniques, continuous improvement methods, project management methods, and analytical tools and methodologies required. Must have ability to independently manage a varied workload of projects with multiple priorities and stay current on information security, technology and healthcare trends and institutional changes.

Excellent interpersonal skills to include presentation, negotiation, influence, team facilitation and written communications skills are required. Exceptional time management and leadership skills are required.

License or certification

Certified as CISSP, GIAC, CISM, or security equivalent; or will obtain certification within 2 years of hire. Other related certifications such as ITIL, SANS/GSEC, CIPP, CGEIT, CPA/CA are preferred, but not required.

Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. The minimum salary every 2 weeks is approx $3,066 based on a full-time position.

Medical and laboratory equipment must produce consistent and reliable results and the service technician helps to ensures that equipment performs in this manner. The technician must understand how equipment is supposed to operate and how the mechanical, electrical, and computer parts of the system work together to make the equipment work properly. The technician will perform preventive maintenance tasks, quality assurance testing, equipment calibrations, equipment installations, programming (if applicable), and perform corrective maintenance on a wide variety of general biomedical and/or laboratory equipment. The technician will install and configure equipment on a network and will do so in a way that maintains data security and avoids unauthorized access to protected and business sensitive information. The technician will understand and follow the policies and procedures outlined in the Medical Equipment Management Plan and use the maintenance management software to document equipment inventory and service history. The technician will work to ensure that service and support of equipment is done in accordance to guidelines established by applicable regulatory agencies. The technician will provide technical training to coworkers and give in-service education to the clinical and technical staff, and attend training both on and off site when required. Travel to support equipment at other sites and to attend training is required. Individuals in this position must be highly customer focused with good communication and interpersonal skills. Individuals must be detailed and exacting in their work, obtain and maintain a high level of knowledge on how to support the equipment in their area, develop exceptional technical skill, and be able to work with minimal supervision. * (Note: this position is similar to that of a Field Service Engineer (FSE) working for a biomedical or laboratory equipment manufacturer or vendor.
