Role Summary:

Baker Hughes, a GE company is currently hiring a HSE Training Specialist based in Houston, Texas.

The HSE COE Group is a customer-focused team supporting global HSE staff for reporting incident measurements, environmental guidance, permitting and compliance, employee training systems, management of customer HSE requirements, and provides subject matter expertise as required.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Training content development and updates

  • Convert existing and new training materials into an online platform, on-demand format using e-learning software tools (e.g. Articulate, Adobe Captivate, Powerpoint)

  • Test and publish training modules (multiple formats) to Learning Management System (LMS).

  • Develop effective course content by reviewing existing training materials and working directly with subject matter experts.

  • Organize and make administrative updates to training content in the LMS.

  • Training and System Administration

  • Make HSE training assignments

  • Expert/super user for LMS

  • Effectively manage data in the enterprise Learning Management System (LMS)

  • Support change management process involving LMS system upgrades

  • Build and execute reports and analyze for trends

  • Develop dashboards and provide HSE training data for dashboard

  • Handle training and system related queries

  • Handle large training data effectively

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information systems (in educational and learning environments), Instructional Technology, Instructional Design or related discipline

  • 5+ years of demonstrated experience in Instructional Technology, Information Systems (in educational and learning environments), Instructional Design or related discipline

  • Proficient in Microsoft suite of Office products (especially excel) and learning management systems

  • Strong project management skills

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills including presentation, business writing, editing and desktop publishing

  • Well organized, self-starter, requiring minimal direction/supervision

  • Pro-actively embraces new learning methodologies and new technologies

  • Collaboration in a Matrix organization

  • Good listener with excellent oral and written communication skills. Pays close attention to detail and sets high standards for quality.
