Are you an experienced Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) professional? Primoris Industrial & Civil is seeking an HSE Site Manager to lead safety initiatives on our project in Hastings, Nebraska. Project duration is expected until the end of the year, if not longer. Per diem available when requirements are met.

FUNCTIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• Responsible for leading the HSE field professional staff supporting the Industrial & Civil dept.

• Establish strategies & initiatives partnering with the leadership team to continuously improve HSE compliance and performance.

• Be the point of contact for any regulatory interface in Hastings, Nebraska.

• Communicate, implement, and reinforce various corporate and regional initiatives such as the Safety Improvement Plan for the area, holding their staff accountable for reaching milestones to support each initiative.

• Track and trend data for the area, leveraging that data to develop plans and strategies with the Operational leadership to close any identified gap or improvement area.

• Actively engage and manage employee care/case management.

• Development and performance of their staff.

• Performing field safety audits for utilities construction projects.

• Serves as a resource to management and internal safety and health committees; acts as a liaison with external regulatory agencies, safety suppliers and other HSE organizations.

• Establishes safety education and training for all employees to assure understanding of required process activities, continuous improvement, and regulatory compliance.

• Sponsor, Leads and/or participates in the investigation and analysis of accidents, nonconformance issues and near miss incidents to determine root cause of each incident and the required corrective/preventative actions to prevent reoccurrence.

• Monitor the Corrective Action Program

• Conducts risk assessments to determine physical hazards and applicable state and federal program requirements for the work we perform.

• Key leader, providing critical input to management.

• Ensure that federal, state, company, and site-specific policies and procedures are enforced.

• Conducts safety audits and administers safety audit program to evaluate effectiveness of safety processes, identify existing or potential risks and recommend corrective/preventative measures.

• Ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Interpret and enforce OSHA Recordkeeping Rules

• Assertive and motivated, willing to engage in the betterment of the HSE Program.

• Monitor and recruit area field safety personnel per project requirements and area demands.

• Additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS

• Bachelor of Science in Safety, or 5+ years relevant work experience, or a combination of both.

• Certified Safety Professional, CSP, certification is required.

• Must be well versed OSHA regulations.

• Intermediate computer skills required, particularly Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

• Effective and assertive communication skills, both oral and written.

• Courage to Intervene and engage is a must.

• Post-offer drug/alcohol screen, physical evaluation and background.

• Applicant/employee must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of such individual or others in the workplace.

• Job site safety requirements as required by the client (clean shaven, long sleeves, steel toe boots, etc.).

• Safety equipment as required by the client (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, respirator, hearing protection, safety harness with lanyard, etc.).
