Job Summary

Manage and develop Health, Safety and Environment for the sites in Newington, Manchester and New Hampshire.

Job Responsibilities

What You'll Do:

  • Lead, champion and deploy the GKN Aerospace HSE policies and procedures throughout the site

  • Develop and implement the site HSE CI plan to meet the objectives for site, Region and GKN Aerospace

  • Report and manage all incidents with appropriate agencies and GKN Aerospace

  • Ensure statutory compliance of the site

  • Set targets for site HSE performance

  • Provide reports as required on site HSE performance

  • Manage Risk Assessment activities at the site, identifying hazards and aspects

  • Support Health and Safety and Environmental site certifications as required

  • Ensure employees are trained and competent in relation to HSE

  • Travel up to 25%.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in a relevant field or in lieu of a degree, 5 or more years previous HSE experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • 2 or more years of previous HSE experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • U.S. Person per ITAR regulations to comply with export compliance and site SSA requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • GKN experience

  • HSE knowledge and competence

  • Understanding of industry, national and local HSE requirements

  • Understanding of ISO certifications (14001, 50001, 45001)

  • Degree level qualification within appropriate discipline

  • Good communication and people skills, with ability to lead and influence

  • Proficient with Microsoft applications including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook

  • Grad IOSH or equivalent

  • Presentation skills

  • Problem solving and investigation skills

  • Experience of leading projects
