Day-to-day implementation of safety strategy, policies, procedures, and programs to ensure workplace safety and health. Develop and assist in leading safety communications that follows regulatory practices/rules, recognizes and reports hazards, initiates and promotes a World Class safety culture.
Duties & Responsibilities
Shop floor engagement with supervisors and technicians.
Facilitating Risk Assessments, Hazard Identification and JSEA's.
Assist with the developing and review of energy isolation procedures.
Assist in advising employees on the requirements for the effective use of safety plans, procedures and guidelines.
Maintain the injury and incident records, reports, investigations, and statistical data, i.e. entering data into PeopleSoft, performing TapRooT investigations, trending and reporting statistical data.
Investigate industrial accidents, injuries, or occupational diseases to determine causes and preventative measures.
Maintain and apply knowledge of current policies, regulations, and industrial processes.
Inspect and audit facilities, machinery, and safety equipment to identify and correct potential hazards, and to ensure safety regulation and management system compliance.
Conduct or coordinate worker training in areas such as safety laws and regulations, hazardous condition monitoring, and use of safety equipment.
Associate's degree in Health, Safety, Environmental and minimum 5 years of experience.
Bachelor's degree win Health, Safety, Environmental and minimum 3 years of experience.
Minimum of 5 years' experience in occupational safety and industrial hygiene.
Knowledge of environment, health and safety regulations.
