Education: Bachelor's preferred.
Personal Characteristics: The purpose of this classification is to create, design, develop, implement and evaluate training programs and curricula focusing on specific areas of knowledge to support departmental programs, operations or systems and to assist employees to learn, improve upon or enhance existing skills.
Work Experience: 2-4 Years HR/training experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.
Confers with management, supervisors and employees to gain knowledge of work situations requiring training and to understand changes in policies, procedures, regulations, business initiatives and technologies
Responsible for all aspects of the hourly hiring process
Facilitates all orientations and onboarding activities
Responsible for a dynamic onboarding and training experience for new hires
Processes and maintains confidential employee information
Coordinates compliance with organizational policies and procedures
Serves as training and learning coordinator to facilitate excellent training experience
Researches, designs, develops and refines training material for courses
Selects or develops teaching aids such as training handbooks, demonstration models, multimedia visual aids, computer tutorials, and reference workshops
Presents standard and customized training courses
Reports on progress of employees during training period; counsels employees on progress and improvements required; and maintain training records
Evaluates, updates and ensures training programs and content meet evolving business needs, regulatory requirement changes and new technologies
Conduct cost-benefit analysis and calculate training ROI
Makes sure all trainers are properly trained or credentialed in their specific area of training
Facilitates the performance management process for all employees.
Communicates with and counsels managers and supervisors relating to performance, teamwork, and other HR solutions and best practices
Guides leadership through HR/training issues and provides recommendations for coaching and/or corrective action, as appropriate
Coordinates with other HR resources to proactively identify employee relations trends and work under the direction of the HR Manager to offer solutions to leadership
Assists in maintaining records on HR activities
Serves as a liaison between managers and staff in the HR department by providing general administrative support in the areas of staffing, training, benefit administration, payroll, safety and employee relations
Responsible for performing administrative HR support tasks in the areas of staffing, posting job ads, compensation, employee benefits, employee relations, performance management, workplace dispute resolution, and HR records management

Strong computer skills and be proficient using Excel. Ability to use Word, PowerPoint or other presentation software. Ability to use internet and web-based resources efficiently and effectively.
