Job Description:
Senior Consultants will work as part of a team or individually, providing expertise during implementation, upgrade or redesign projects. General requirements include hands-on experience with implementations and/or upgrades of the Infor Lawson HRM suites, GHR, Landmark security along with project leadership and subject matter expertise. Senior Consultants work directly with client staff providing hands-on leadership, process design, application build support, training, testing, go-live support and change management. Senior Consultants must have the ability to travel on a normal 4 day work week (M-TH) to the client site.

Prior demonstrated experience with Lawson HRM Applications including full suite implementations and/or major upgrades of the applications like HRM/Human Resource Mgmt Products/Technical & Functional/Human Capital Management. Ability to work as part of a team with clear verbal and written communication skills

Position: HRM - Human Resource Management Consultant
Location: Atlanta, GA- Remote (Travel expenses paid project)
Duration: 10 months contract

Role Description: GHR/ Landmark security - for design and testing of security roles Working knowledge of GHR, TA, VC modules to be able to drive the security design discussions (or some familiarity to be able to coordinate with the functional team and help drive design discussions) Understanding of config console, IPA Familiarity with IFS Ability to pick up on other technical pieces like Birst, Saviynt.

This includes providing strategic HR consulting and services to client groups in support of achieving business results. Areas that are specifically targeted include: leadership and team effectiveness, organizational effectiveness and design, workforce planning, leadership development, performance management, employee relations, recruitment, organizational planning, compliance with HR policies & procedures and compensation in the Customer Operations organization. It is responsible for implementing and managing all Human Resources initiatives that impact the business unit. This position does require some interaction with a unionized workforce. Functional Expertise: * Provide HR business support through counsel and guidance concerning all aspects of human resource issues to leaders and employees to include demonstrated technical knowledge of all major Human Resources disciplines such as performance management, leadership development, succession & development planning, compensation, employeerelations, policies & practices, workforce planning & strategic staffing, project management, organizational effectiveness principles, metrics, and organizational change * Serve as a back-up to the Labor Relations Human Resource in handling issues and grievances * Ability to respect and maintain confidential and sensitive information * Outstanding facilitation, listening, & presentation skills * Analytical skills used to interpret data such as demographics, employee assessments, employee surveys, retention and workforce trends * Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and to manage multiple tasks * Ensure leaders have the awareness, information and tools to establish and maintain effective working environments for their people. * Ensure compliance with federal, state and local regulations concerning employment, company policies that affect employment and employee discipline. * Promote the Company's values and culture to improve decision-making and performance. * Implement strategies in collaboration with business and HR leaders to improve the Company's employment brands and overall workforce effectiveness. * Provide input to the HR Centers of Excellence (COE) to ensure program offerings are properly aligned with business strategies and priorities and to minimize employee relations issues. * Assists in planning organizational change within client groups (e.g. reductions in force, reorganizations, etc.). * Provide recommendations regarding performance management, termination decisions and coaching while ensuring fairness. * Track issues and identify trends.Review and analyze information to make sound employee relations recommendations to clients. * Conduct investigations including complaints of harassment, code violations and EEO issues and make recommendations to minimize company exposure. * Ensure client groups are aware of human resources initiatives and how these initiatives impact them. Business Acumen: * Continually evaluate the current employee engagement climate and the business plans to ensure alignment and readiness to perform. * Consult at all levels with assigned business unit leaders concerning their organizational needs and business strategies. * Develop a deep understanding of the business and employees that shapes the expectations and trajectory of future performance capabilities. * Know the current, short term and long-term business status and direction as well as industry and general workforce trends. Engagement: * Collaborate with the COEs to include Legal, Training, Benefits, Compensation and other shared service organizations to ensure effective compliance efforts, program offerings and employee support. * Demonstrated ability to consult with all levels of executives/management * Ability to champion and influence change and a willingness to take risks * Strong leadership skills: influencing, developing and coaching employees & leaders and motivating others * Collaborate extensively with assigned business unit leadership to ensure services are effectively aligned with the needs of the business as well as providing best-in-class contributions to business efforts. * Influence leaders and employees regarding their decisions and behaviors impacting business performance. * Disseminate and interpret HR policies and procedures; serve as HR subject matter expert for employment practices and procedures, as needed. * Attend client staff meetings, front office meetings and other business meetings hosted by the client. * Work closely with all HR functional groups to support and implement HR related initiatives * Facilitate training programs to client groups, as needed (e.g. New Hire Orientation, Performance Management, Open Enrollment, etc.) Driving Results : * Manage the execution and delivery of people programs (e.g., performance management, talent review, succession planning, change management, partnership with Talent Development on deliverables, etc.) to maximize their impact as well as minimize disruption to the business. * Review business units' performance management results, compile data and facilitate calibration meetings. * Gather data and deliver insightful analysis and recommendations to business concerning current people capabilities, climate and performance as well as concerning future needs. * Ensure successful implementation and delivery of Human Resources products and services to client groups * Ensure the Human Resources organization's strategic and tactical initiatives are effectively executed * Consult with management of client organizations on HR business planning and organizational effectiveness issues * Maintain a work environment that emphasizes professional excellence, teamwork, customer satisfaction, and personal growth * Provide a high level of customer service that is cost effective and value added * Develop programs and lead projects to support business objectives * Partner with Southern Company Services leaders and internal committees to provide strategic support for all HR initiatives Education, Certifications/Licenses: Required : BA/BS in Business, Human Resources or related field Preferred : Advanced degree in business with focus in HR, employment law or a related field, certification in an HR (e.g. PHR or SHRM – CP) Related Work Experience: Required : 3-5 years progressive HR Generalist experience including experience in the following areas: Benefits, Compensation, Organizational Development, Employee Relations, Talent Acquisition Preferred : 2 years of leadership experience.
