Job Summary: Responsible for processing HR related transactions including job changes, job postings, terminations and benefit changes and assisting managers, supervisors and the HR team in the use of HR information systems.

Requirements: 1-3 years of experience; Candidates must have proficiency with computer applications, such as Microsoft Office and Internet Explorer. Prior experience with Human Resources or Payroll applications strongly preferred. Must possess exceptional data processing and communication.

This position provides front desk support to the clinic as well as the clinicians. This position is essential to the STD/HIV/TB clinics high volume of clients. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written are required. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a team of dedicated public servants committed to having an immediate and lasting impact on their community. Essential Functions Include: The Front Office Support Staff provide front office support to the STD/HIV/TB clinic and clinicians, by providing excellent verbal/written communication, interpersonal, and time management skills. Must be a self-starter, focused, motivated, highly organized and productive; the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and maintain patient confidentiality. The Front Office Support Staff work incorporates many tasks such as greeting patients, scheduling appointments, performing clerical duties, accurately entering data, retrieving, and updating patients' information into the database, managing insurance and billing, answering telephones and directing callers regarding medical results. Manage filing and record keeping activities and perform related work as required. Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: * Knowledge of basic English grammar, spelling and punctuation. * Knowledge of basic computer operations and common business software applications such as document management and word processing. * Ability to operate Microsoft Office Suite Products at a basic level. * Ability to perform simple arithmetic computations and use a ten-key calculator with accuracy. * Ability to establish and retrieve records from filing systems alphabetically, numerically or by subject, or following some other readily learned procedure. * Ability to type or keyboard clean copy at a specific rate of speed and accuracy. * Ability to understand and follow simple written or oral instructions. * Ability to deal courteously with employees at all levels of government, and to work effectively with varying temperaments, both in person and by telephone. Minimum Education and Experience Requirements: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a GED certificate. Equivalencies: Not Applicable.
