Job Description Job Description At First Merchants, we value the service, patriotism, and bravery of our military members and have created a 52-week apprenticeship program providing tailored training for veterans pursuing a career in Human Resources. The Human Resources Information System (HRIS) & Reporting Analyst Veteran Apprentice will split responsibilities between the maintenance of the HRIS and basic reporting.
As part of this role you will : Administer and monitor HRIS application, including managing and resetting passwords within the HRIS Troubleshoot system issues Perform testing for system upgrades, new software integrations, etc. to ensure application is kept current with vendor’s release schedule, patches and other requirements Perform application maintenance including incident tickets, workflow design and process change requests Create and update visual data flow maps to accurately represent the movement and processing of information within the system Participate in business process reviews and analysis in order to drive efficiency and system utilization Develop supporting documentation including desk procedure manuals Update Disaster Recovery plans and models Provide basic ad hoc or scheduled Human Resources (HR) report, and maintain the access and distribution of reporting dashboards To be successful in this position, we require the following: High school diploma or equivalent (GED) A minimum of two (2) years of application/business/systems or reporting experience, OR equivalent military experience A minimum of two (2) years of MS Excel experience Veteran of the U.S. Military with Honorable or Medical Discharge, or an active-duty or former member of the National Guard or Reserve The following would be a plus:
