About the team

The Zillow Group HR Operations team is looking for someone to evaluate, analyze, and build our HR processes around our People Org programs and systems.

About the role

  • Continually seek opportunities for driving greater impact through our HR system, Workday. Primarily focused on providing operational and system knowledge for Workday HCM, Compensation & Benefits. Will also partner with SMEs on all areas of Workday.

  • Lead and facilitate groups in defining business and system requirements and alternate options for Workday. You will have basic understanding of Workday's business process configuration, security functionality, and HCM setup.

  • Evaluate current People Org processes and propose solutions. Partner with SMEs Zillow Group to make process improvement changes and implement efficiencies.

  • Act as a system administrator for Workday HR functions, providing training and documentation when needed.

  • Partner with other business groups such as: Analysts, IT, and HR support team on review of system improvements, testing, and updates on work you're doing.

  • Develop procedures and training, provide up to date process documentation to People Org end-users

Who you are

  • Bachelor's degree; 3+ years' experience in HR field. Minimum 2 years working in HR systems.

  • Experience with Workday required. Familiar with Workday set up, business processes, and able to solve business problems.

  • Deep understanding of a variety of HR processes and standard methodologies.

  • Strong analytic and decision-making skills, combination of critical thinking and detail orientation.

  • Ability to collaborate and demonstrate partnership skills to partner across a multiple business segments and groups to get stuff done

  • Ability to operate in dynamic, rapidly evolving environment

  • Collaborate across the organization and demonstrate a visionary spirit with the ability to think 'creatively'

  • Able to clearly explain complex concepts, clarify context, requirements and process steps. Find opportunities, take initiative and think through future implications

  • Project Management experience preferred

HR Information Systems has an outstanding full time opportunity for a HRIS Analyst. The purpose of this position is to provide analytical, project and technical support to UW HRIS activities. This role will also act as a primary HRIS business and support analyst, providing requirements analysis, documentation and testing on complex HRIS projects. This role will also assist developers in HRIS in building and maintaining complex SQL queries, Reporting Services Reports and SSIS packages. POSITION COMPLEXITIES: Understanding UW's Operating Environment This position must develop a complex working understanding of a broad variety of Human Resources' business activities and related information systems needs/projects. HRIS information management services cross systems that include compensation, benefits, payroll, recruiting, layoff/rehire, time and leave, reporting (labor, internal, public, state and federal). Each of these systems includes a variety of differing rules, data governance policies and procedures. RESPONSIBILITIES: Business Analyst Lead users through discussions regarding the current state, and future state of a process or system; and assist subject matter experts (SMEs) and business owners in producing high-quality documentation of the current and desired future states, Perform complex gap analysis of processes and systems, Work with SMEs and business owners to document high quality system requirements, Work with SMEs and business owners to deliver system documentation, including technical and functional guides, Work with SME's and business owners to produce user guides for HRIS systems, Lead the creation and implementation of test plans. Info and Support Analyst Information management efforts such as developing reports, fulfilling information and records requests, and developing a solid understanding of HR's data are a key portion of HRIS' work and of this role. This position requires advanced SQL skills that will be used to pull, aggregate, and document large data sets. The position also requires strong Microsoft Access, Excel and VBA skills, these will be used to support and maintain custom applications. This position will: Develop Microsoft Reporting Services reports, using tools such as Office Writer and Enesys reporting tool to present data in an application layer to HRIS customers. Miscellaneous Other duties as assigned. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Management, or Business or related field and three years of experience. Specific Skills: Minimum of 2 years using SQL (or programming languages) to extract and present data out of complex multi-layer environments. Minimum of 2 years working with business clients to develop requirements and system documentation. Minimum of 2 years developing enterprise level reports in a production environment. Minimum of 2 years' experience analyzing and explaining complex data sets. Minimum of 3 years' experience working within the IT industry.
