JOB SUMMARY

The HRIS Analyst is responsible for the management, implementation, and maintenance of the Human Resources Information System (HRIS). This role serves as a technical point-of-contact and assists with ensuring data integrity, testing of system changes, report writing and analyzing data flows for process improvement opportunities. The HRIS Analyst also supports HRMS upgrades, patches, testing, troubleshooting system issues, and optimizing HR processes through system improvements.

PRINCIPLE FUNCTIONS include the following, other duties may be assigned:

Administration:

  • Serves as a system administrator for HR systems and applications.

  • Manages HR software implementation projects.

  • Manages the day-to-day operations for all HR information systems, services, and applications.

  • Maintains Immuware Employee Health System and Healthstream data tables, structures, files and interface requirements. Ensures the integrity of the HR system data.

  • Collaborates with HR, Finance, and Information Technology (IT) to maintain and improve the HRIS, including configuration, end-user access, security, and system efficiency.

  • Subject matter expert for assigned year-end activities such as open enrollment and ensuring accurate ACA reporting.

Technical Support:

  • Performs root-cause analysis in identification and resolution of complex problems with business of HR-related software systems which may result in software modifications and/or vendor support tickets.

  • Provides technical support, troubleshooting, and guidance to internal and external customers.

General Support:

  • Works with all levels of management as needed for consulting on data, reporting or planning needs.

  • Serves as a subject matter expert for the systems used in the organization and HR related data and other metrics as requested.

Reporting:

  • Prepares ad hoc and recurring reports for employee data contained in the HRIS and/or other HR data sources in response to requests from users within Human Resources and from users in other departments and works with requestors to refine reporting requirements to ensure the underlying business needs are met.

  • Collects, compiles, and manages HR metrics and data from a variety of sources including the HRIS, external databases, employee surveys, exit interviews, employment records, and other sources.

  • Prepares and responds to miscellaneous surveys and requests for information.

Compliance:

  • Ensures compliance with all federal, state, and WhidbeyHealth regulations including individual collective bargaining agreements.

  • Ensures compliance with data privacy regulations and best practices.

Training:

  • Facilitates implementation of new training, development, and other related initiatives.

  • Cross trains with others on the team to provide maximum flexibility within the team and facilitating optimal customer service to end users.

Security:

  • Ensures security, end-user access, and data integrity across all HR platforms.

  • Recommends security role assignments based on business needs and maintains related documentation.

JOB KNOWLEDGE & QUALIFICATIONS

Education

  • High School diploma required.

  • College coursework in Human Resources and/or Information Systems preferred.

Training and Experience

  • 2-4 years of experience working with HRIS systems, preferably with experience in system administration or data analysis.

  • Proficiency in HRIS platforms, UKG preferred

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed recommendations.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to train and support users at all levels.

  • Experience with project management is a plus.

  • Understanding of HR processes and data, including payroll, benefits, and recruitment.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

  • Certified Professional SHRM-CP / PHR preferred.

Other Skills and Abilities

  • Advanced Database skills, such as the ability to sort and retrieve records and create layouts and reports.

  • Advanced spreadsheet skills, including the ability to insert formulas and mathematical calculations; create workbooks, use multiple worksheets; format and print worksheets; sort lists; create graphs and charts.

Salary Range: $90,000 - $115,000
