The primary focus of this position is the support, maintenance, and utilization of the Oracle Fusion Cloud HCM System in addition to other HR systems supported by the HRIS team. This individual serves as a technical point of contact and assists others in ensuring data integrity, testing of system upgrades and changes, report writing and analyzing data flows for process improvement opportunities. The analyst supports HRIS upgrades, patches, testing, and other technical projects as assigned. The analyst serves as a liaison between the HR work teams and the IT department, payroll, and other departments. This individual may be assigned as a team leader or team member in support of one or more projects related to system implementations, process improvements or upgrades.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide support for the HRIS applications, including researching and resolving HRIS problems, unexpected results, or process flaws; performing scheduled activities; recommending solutions or alternate methods to meet requirements.

  • Troubleshoots, researches, and perseveres to identify root cause of issues; anticipates potential pitfalls to mitigates risk associated with identified obstacles and roadblocks.

  • Recommend and lead process improvement projects to maximize our investment in our HR technology

  • Serves as the technical point of contact ensuring data integrity, system security and maintenance, system modifications, report writing, document maintenance, system audits and recommendations for process changes for HR team members and management.

  • Provides Tier 1 and 2 helpdesk support for HCM issues. Escalates issues to Oracle and/or consulting partners as appropriate.

  • Collaborates with HRIS staff to plan, modify, and personalize the HRIS; Works closely with Oracle and/or consulting partners to review and test solutions.

  • Develops documentation/training materials and delivers training and hands-on support to end users.

  • Develops and maintains HRIS operational documentation

  • Writes detailed descriptions of users' needs, program functions and modification processes; translates functional teams' wants and needs into business rules for technical team

  • Works cross functionally with HR team members and management to integrate data and ensure seamless data flow and identify trends to aid in management decisions.

  • Analyzes data, information, and systems problems by applying analytical skills to effectively communicate findings and design solutions using Excel or other HR systems.

  • Prepares data for all required annual compliance reports, for example EEO-1, VETS-100 and ACA related reports.

  • Administers HRIS security; manages user roles and security parameters, maintains security documentation; performs routine audits/testing of security access to ensure appropriate data security and privacy requirements.

  • Acts as a liaison between users, IT department and third parties; collaborates with all to effectively prioritize and schedule projects and assignments to meet departmental objectives.

  • Participates in user group meetings, both inter- and intradepartmental, as well as with third party vendors

  • Provides support for the creation and maintenance of internal and external interfaces.

  • Maintains knowledge of trends and developments in HRIS providers, vendors, and technology.

Qualifications

EDUCATION:

Bachelors in a related field preferred

EXPERIENCE:

  • At least 2 years of experience in HR information systems (Workday, SuccessFactors, Oracle Cloud, UKG, etc.) with interest in being re-tooled in Oracle HCM Cloud.

  • Knowledge of SaaS systems and system administration for HRIS system (Oracle preferred).

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills required to work in a consultative role with users.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to think strategically and continually review and improve processes.

  • Excellent ability to apply logical reasoning to data analysis and think through details.

  • Ability to be self-directed and to handle large, concurrent projects with minimal supervision while adhering to strict guidelines.

  • Excellent time management skills with a substantiated ability to meet deadlines.

  • Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office products including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to sit at a desk on a computer for 90% of the day
