HR Technology Analyst

Workday is the core system in our HR Management Platform (HRMS), which also includes Taleo, and a variety of payroll providers. The HR Business Process Analyst owns the configuration of global business processes and supports various aspects of continued development, implementation and maintenance of Workday and Taleo. The role is responsible for harmonizing processes globally while localizing to meet country specific regulatory requirements. A significant portion of the work is related to the system updates released each year, the implementation of continual improvement projects between system updates and providing technical system support to our end users. The successful candidate must be analytical, have the ability to multitask, be a self starter and quick learner. This role will work with the global HR Community, HRIT, HRMS Reporting and HRMS Security teams.

Responsible for process and data configuration within the HCM & ATS systems (Workday and Taleo):

  • Global configuration of business processes: design, build, test and deploy new BP's as well as update existing BP's

  • Create calculated fields, condition rules for data / plan eligibility, and notifications

  • Regression test Workday and Taleo releases each year: create, update and execute test scripts; log cases with the vendor when issues are identified

  • Be an active member of the Workday and Taleo knowledge sharing community: create and vote on brainstorms, participate in groups, apply knowledge gained to Sun Life processes

  • Configure and initiate annual programs such as Talent, Compensation, Performance. Partner with COEs on delivery of these processes.

  • Set up and maintenance of business data such as Job Profiles, Locations, Cost Centers, Bonus Plans etc.

  • Upload data using EIB's

  • Determine root cause of data related issues regarding integration errors and partner with IT Analysts and Developers to analyze and improve integrations related to Workday

  • Provide Tier 2 support by investigate technical issues relating to HCM, ATS, and other system configuration

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required

  • 3-5 years experience in a HR system support role, HCM or ATS support ideal

  • Prior experience with HRMS; Workday highly desirable but not required

  • Working knowledge of HR processes and procedures highly desirable

  • Strong analytical, multitasking and interpersonal skills required

  • Must be a self starter, take initiative, comfortable with web based learning and be curious

  • Must be detail orientated while keeping eye on the bigger picture

  • Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing

  • Maintain confidentiality

  • Occasional weekend work in order to support updates; after hours work in order to support all countries; and travel between locations

VIEW JOBS 6/23/2018 12:00:00 AM 2018-09-21T00:00 Position Summary The (Senior) HRIS & Compensation Analyst has primary responsibility for administering the Bank's HRIS and compensation programs in support of the Bank's strategic objectives. The position is responsible for leading the department's HRIS function from a technical perspective, including system design, development and administration to ensure operational efficiency, employee self-sufficiency and streamlined processes. This role encompasses core HRIS and Compensation responsibility areas. At times there may be a heavy emphasis on Human Resources and Compensation Committee of the Board of Directors (BoD) materials development and analysis, and project work. This role is comprised of a blend of strategic initiatives, and administrative and routine tasks/deliverables and projects. HRIS experience is required for this role. This position is classified as sensitive. Sensitive positions are subject to a sensitive position background investigation. Specific Responsibilities HRIS (core responsibilities, daily) HRIS responsibilities span system "ownership" to partnering with colleagues to maximize our investment in technology and providing end user training. Provide HRIS thought leadership and expertise on Workday application and other disparate systems/tools, such as Cornerstone Learning, within the HR function. Core responsibilities include: * Lead HR efforts to optimize Workday application * Maintains the core HRIS to ensure data integrity, privacy and accurate reporting. * Serves as a HR analytics expert, developing essential dashboards for trends in multiple areas of HR. * Manage Workday's Absence functionality to ensure accurate tracking and reporting * Prepares monthly, quarterly and ad-hoc reports and related metrics. Helps to define relevant metrics /scorecard data and provides timely reporting and analysis to various constituencies. * Responsible for report writing, problem resolution and data changes/corrections. * Works closely with end users to define requirements for new or improved systems/processes and takes the lead in delivery and testing of new functionality. * Work with other departments in the Bank to explore options to automate processes in Workday that may currently be manual and/or suboptimal * Ensures proper internal controls are in place, documented and followed for Workday. * Ensures that all Workday processes are in line with Bank policies. * Provides Workday training to new employees. Compensation Administer the Bank's on-going total compensation and reward programs in support of the Bank's business objectives and pay-for-performance strategies, including but not limited to: * Works with manager and Human Resources management to continually review, monitor and design competitive, cost-effective total compensation and reward programs, including executive and staff incentive plans. * Administers annual incentive programs from modeling through approvals and payouts. * Administers compensation and rewards programs, including, job benchmarking, the salary administration process, and salary surveys participation and review. Provides consultative advice to managers and colleagues on day-to-day compensation issues. Provides input to budget process. * Demonstrates current knowledge of all compensation-related regulations and practices, including FLSA. * Interprets plan documents and policies to create and maintain compensation and incentive compensation spreadsheets and calculations: prepares compensation exhibits and related documentation for the Human Resources and Compensation Committee of the BoD. * Compiles market data for annual salary review process and market prices new and existing positions as needed. Analyzes and recommends appropriate salary ranges and/or adjustments. * Documents all compensation actions taken and maintains records of such actions to ensure legal and regulatory compliance and adequate internal controls. * Assists in annual and on-going employee communications to ensure employees understand and value total compensation and benefits. Board Support Create Human Resources and Compensation Committee materials, reports, analysis and supporting data for BoD or Committee review and use. These efforts are often linear in nature and have a time-sensitivity component involved. * BoD or Committee materials preparation in support of agenda items. Projects & Other Responsibilities (as needed) Lead or play an integral role on projects related to systems, compensation and Human Resources responsibilities or initiatives. * System upgrades, migrations, implementations or research. * Provides back-up for Sr. HR Representative and department personnel. * Performs other duties, as assigned. * Maintains courteous and confidential relationship with employees, consultants, vendors, other entities and agencies, within and outside the FHLB System, and with other members of the HR staff with an emphasis on collaboration. Qualifications Education * Undergraduate degree or directly related equivalent work experience required. * Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) and/or a HRIS certification is strongly desired. Experience * 3+ years of HRIS experience is required, preferably with the Workday application and 3+ years of compensation experience.To be considered for a Senior title, at least 6 years of both relevant HRIS and compensation experience must be demonstrated. * Demonstrated project management experience preferred. Knowledge/Skills * Advanced Excel skills are required. * Demonstrated capability, and a desire to approach the role with a proactive mindset. * A service orientation with a commitment to collaboration within the HR team and across the organization. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Excellent analytical and quantitative skills with strong attention to detail. * Ability to interpret and analyze compensation data.
