As an HRIS Advisor at Hillenbrand, you'll provide guidance to the team responsible for supporting the HR systems for our dynamic global organization, as well as the development, management, analysis, and execution of projects that help HR be more strategic and provide scalability as our businesses grow.
This role manages a wide range of complex projects that have a significant impact on Human Resources and the organization as a whole. We'll rely on you to develop comprehensive project plans and risk analysis, making recommendations to meet the project goals. We will rely on you to evaluate our current portfolio of HRIS systems and projects, understand the requirements of HR and/or our businesses, and develop strategies or recommendations to enhance our existing systems and meet our target goals. The HRIS Advisor also provides project management for these projects and reports on all aspects of the project and its progress to stakeholders. Responsibilities also include the following:
Developing and leading HR projects independently with only broad goals from leadership
Completing complex HR system configurations
Developing and deploying HR Project Management or System processes and policies
Take ownership of one or more HRIS systems (as needed)
Perform in depth research, analyze complex data, and provide innovative solutions for the most complex projects or HR system topics
Minimum of 8 years' of extensive HRIS and Project Management experience with expertise in multiple HRIS systems
Minimum of 5 years' experience with data and analysis, including storytelling and recommendation-building
Minimum of 3 years' full life cycle project management skills, and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives to support HR team goals and the business/company strategy
Ability to think across the HR team and organization to understand the impact of potential changes brought upon by projects, programs, and systems
Able to build strong relationships with internal partners and collaborate on mutually beneficial solutions
Able to influence and negotiate with other stakeholders
Expertise in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
Bachelor's degree and/or strong business acumen; Master's degree preferred
Prior management experience preferred
10-20% travel between local offices is required, same day travel. Possible International Travel on an infrequent basis.
