Career & Employment Training (CET) is establishing a pool of candidates of part-time faculty to teach the core elements of Human Resources Development (HRD) focused on preparing unemployed or underemployed individuals seeking to enter or advance in the workplace. Core elements include: assessment of an individual's assets and limitations, development of a positive self-concept, development of employability skills, development of communication skills, development of problem-solving skills, and awareness of the impact of information technology in the workplace.

This position requires face to face teaching.

Essential Duties
Engage in student-centered curriculum planning and development including, but not limited to creating course processes and learning strategies, course outlines, and associated course materials that are timely and relevant.
Perform a variety of tasks including but not limited to student registration/in-take procedures, documenting attendance, and completing necessary processes for submitting attendance and end-of-course documentation for all classes instructed.
Maintain professional knowledge and teaching skills by participating in professional development activities centered around effective teaching and student engagement.
Minimum Requirements
Associate Degree in Information Technology, Human Resources, Business Management, or relevant field.
Prior experience teaching, career coaching, and/or academic advising required with at least 5 years of directly relevant work experience focused on adult learners. Experience with various learning styles and instructional modalities is required including traditional, online, and/or hybrid/blended instruction. A combination of work experiences in areas concentrated on training and instruction may suffice for the minimum 5-year requirement.
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Preferred Requirements
Bachelor's degree or higher in Human Resources or relevant field.
Five years of prior experience teaching HRD/Workforce Development to target audience; unemployed or underemployed adult learners, including career and academic coaching/advising experience.
Bi-lingual (English/Spanish)
