Summary of Job
This role's purpose is to support the HR and IT leadership in managing the supporting HR technology program portfolio. Reporting to the Sr. Director of Corporate Technology & Applications, this individual will lead the management of the overall technology program management. This is a leadership role with direct interactions with the CHRO and CIO and their leadership teams. This position within Vail Resorts comes with expectations that this leader will establish themselves as a genuine partner to both IT and our HR functions. Day-to-day activities include delivery of large projects, ongoing releases, rigorous prioritization processes, vendor release management and planning, and alignment of vendor roadmaps to our business strategies.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
Drive: Develop and drive the accountability of business objectives and supporting IT initiatives.
Provide project/program facilitation and oversight; facilitate agreement on objectives and success measures, provide overall project/program issue resolution and roadblock removal.
Partner closely at the Vice President and Director levels to support key areas of work that focus on highest priorities, including suggesting and managing the best time allocation and use of group meetings
Connect: Inspire trust and build strong, authentic, productive relationships with key stakeholders. Effectively engage and collaborate with leadership across the organization to develop, define and build on innovative ideas and business priorities.
Engage broadly and deeply across the organization to quickly connect information and people to drive enterprise projects, programs and initiatives

Assist in the realization of the newly revised multi-year HR business strategy, including technology implications

Bachelor's degree in Business, Technology or related field
5+ years of relevant work experience including proven ability to successfully lead and oversee critical projects and regular software releases
Strong working knowledge and understanding of key concepts across the various HR business areas
Connect with and lead others who do not directly report to you
Regular exposure to Director and VP levels within the HR functions and related technology leaders
Is able to manage matrixed project teams consisting of IT, business users, software vendors, and 3rd party contractors
Ability to drive strategy, vision, direction, and prioritization on enterprise wide projects and programs at the Executive level.
Can manage initiatives from concept through to completion, including the development and presentation of a business case.
Informed on industry standards and practices, and a forward thinker on new innovative approaches.
Ability to socialize and manage a portfolio of projects in support of stated strategic objectives.
Manage business operational impacts as well as technical components of the program or project.
Work with internal and external teams to develop and execute a comprehensive QA approach for enterprise wide projects and programs.
