The Communications and Events Specialist is responsible in large part for the development and delivery of a comprehensive engagement strategy designed to support Team Member job satisfaction and understanding of the company's core values and goals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop, write and edit Team Member communication materials including intranet, e-mail announcements, newsletters, town halls/round table discussions and presentations that support Casino and Rush Street Gaming core values and goals.
Collaboratively engages with Human Resources and internal departments to develop and launch internal communications that support business objectives.
Coordinate with external agencies, casino marketing and Leadership to design and maintain an engaging culture message for the property.
Review regularly all department and casino bulletin boards, posters, video presentations and any other forms of Team Member communications at the property to assure alignment with the desired culture message. Takes action regarding any communication that is not in alignment with the stated culture.
Team Member Events
Lead all aspects of Team Member event management, for example: initial planning, budget planning and adherence, contracting services, catering, AV, dcor, branding and event execution and post event analysis for year-over-year improvements.
Creates Standard Operating Procedures so events can be planned with regularity and consistency.
Build and maintain professional relationships with external vendors and internal key stakeholders.
Assists with all other HR functions including recruitment, on-boarding, processing and training.
Provides, develops and presents ideas for Team Member Events to support the desired culture.
Advises and guides Team Member Engagement committees or other groups focused on increasing engagement and satisfaction.
Consistently identify, present ideas and implement Team Member engagement activities designed to improve Team Member satisfaction and engagement.
Communicate and collaborate well with other Team Members.
Estimate and manage time accurately and independently
Perform all other duties as directed or assigned.

Two (2)+ years' experience in HR including prior experience managing Team Member events and HR Communications.
Strong planning, customer service and organizational skills
Experience writing for different audiences, feature writing, copy editing, working in a matrix organization and working in a broad organization.
Ability to work flexible shifts and days of the week including holidays and weekends
Ability to obtain and maintain all necessary licensing
