Hexcel is currently seeking a HR Specialist for our Pottsville, PA, USA location.

The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations:

  • Build and maintain positive relationships with all customers of the HR department. Answer general employee questions on benefits, policy, time off, and other employment related inquiries.

  • Maintain Workday including inputting employee status changes, setting up new employees, benefits enrollment, and generating reports.

  • Maintain time off systems and file in timely and accurate manner.

  • Enter payroll changes and reviewing time and attendance records for bi-weekly payroll processing. Acts as the backup to payroll processing when needed. Including processing and prepare related payroll reports.

  • Monitor and maintain the Pottsville call off time and occurrence tracking system.

  • Assist with planning company events and activities. Act as the site Wellness Champion and schedule wellness activities.

  • Assist in the job bid, recruiting, and new hire onboarding process.

  • Assist in the interpretation, administration and communication of benefit programs, and employee relations policies to help ensure consistency with Federal, State and Local employment regulations, and Corporate and Local employment practices.

  • Prepare and complete all forms and paperwork necessary for processing new employees and terminations and other employee benefits as necessary.

  • Maintain Plant communication mediums to ensure accurate and timely communication of company benefits, policies, safety information and general news announcements.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university preferred.

  • Minimum of 2 years general Human Resource and/or Payroll experience, required. An equivalent combination of experience and education can be substituted.

  • Knowledge of current employment laws and regulations including, ADA, ADEA, FMLA, and FLSA.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Experience with HRIS system maintenance. Workday experience preferred. Experience with timekeeping and attendance systems. ADP/eTime experience preferred.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite: Power Point, Outlook, Word and Excel.

  • Ability to organize and prioritize workload; ability to meet deadlines.

  • Regular attendance on company premises is required.
