SUMMARY:

Performsa wide variety of administrative, liaison, coordination and support servicesfor the Human Resources department. Interfaces with management, cross functional organizations andinternal/external customers. Undertakesvarious functional projects, as required. Provides standard office support tothe human resources team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assistsdepartment in carrying out various human resources programs and procedures forall company employees. Administrative functions include, but are not limited tobenefit administration, recruitment and selection, performance management, and personneladministration processes. Support for the various processes may include:

  • Entersall benefit changes in to applicable human resources systems, follows up forrequired paperwork, and maintains benefit files. Orders materials and creates /distributes benefit kits to applicable locations.

  • Entersall personnel changes in to the HRIS database and updates files accordingly.

  • Assistswith the creation and coordination of internal/external job postings, schedulesinterviews for candidates, schedules background checks and pre-employment drug tests,prepares offer letters, updates the applicant tracking system, prepares newemployee folders and orientation materials, as well as assists in drafting andcommunicating new hire and promotion announcements.

  • Assistsin running reports to track completion of the performance management processes.

  • Assiststhe HR team with overseeing administrative HR functions for the MA division:

  • Verifies I-9 documentation, entering into e-Verify, andmaintaining filing system.

  • Partners in the new hire orientation process.

  • Preparesand maintains employee files, assuring accuracy, compliance and confidentialityfor the MA and Corporate personnel.

  • Maintains time and attendance database for MAdivision by setting up new employees and temporary personnel into the systemand removing terminated employees, as required.

  • Maintainstemporary employee affirmative action tracking log.

  • Partneringwith local temporary staffing agency for direct labor.

  • Coordinates employee events and service awards.

  • Answersgeneral HR requests and questions.

  • Performsmonthly and quarterly audit of vendor invoices (HRIS, drug screen, backgroundscreen, health insurance, service award, etc.)

  • Assistsin maintaining HRIS records and compiles reports from database as needed; i.e.new hire, termination, service award, and monthly master census.

  • Assistsin updating and posting documents to HR's SharePoint site.

  • Coordinatesemployment related postings associated with federal and state requirements.

  • Maintainsthe company organizational charts.

  • Rotateswith a group of other staff members as back-up reception as needed.

  • Performssupport functions to Human Resources department as needed i.e. record keeping,mailings, answering telephones, referring messages, mail distribution, orderingof supplies and other related duties.

COMPLEXITY OFDUTIES:

  • Worksunder only general direction; ability to work independently.

  • Interactswith both internal and external customers at all levels of the organization.

  • Abilityto work as a team player.

  • Abilityto manage confidential information.

EDUCATION and/orEXPERIENCE:

  • BA/BS degree with 1-3 general office administrationor human resources experience.

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment, highlydesired.

OTHER SKILLS ANDABILITIES:

  • Strongcomputer skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Strongdata entry skills, attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Strongproblem solving and customer service skills.

  • Strongorganizational skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities. Must be able towork in a fast paced environment.

  • Strongwritten, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Strongmath and grammar skills; ability to proofread and check various calculations.

  • Abilityto manage confidential information.
