Job Summary / Purpose
Provides strategic HR consulting and problem-solving solutions to business leaders. Consults and works with with management and employees to accomplish effective governance, oversight, execution and support of Human Resources programs, policies and procedures.
Job Duties / Responsibilities
Contribute to the business strategy by helping business leaders to identify, prioritize, and build organizational capabilities and capacity, behaviors, structures, and processes. Works closely with other parts of Human Resources, Legal, Finance and Regulatory Services.
Delivers strategic HR services to internal clients including, but not limited to developing strategic staffing plans, including headcount projections and talent sourcing strategies; facilitating organizational design and organizational effectiveness initiatives; leadership development including, but not limited to, the individual development, coaching for business leaders and their management teams; Improving work team dynamics; Succession planning & workforce readiness.
Supports the delivery of strategic HR services to internal clients including, but not limited to: Provide performance management support, including 1st quarter performance management and compensation support; Support Labor Relations with the development and implementation of Labor strategies; Ensure that a strong leadership and coaching culture permeates the organization; Supporting large enterprise-wide and small BU specific projects.
Provides overisghts, support and performs HR services for internal clients including, but not limited to: Supporting major strategic imperatives; strategy design, facilitation, planning and implementation; strategies for how to improve HR policies and processes (discipline, leave, exempt overtime, etc.); Review and benchmark the internal and external environment to improve HR policies and initiatives.
Prioritizes work, effectively handles multiple tasks simultaneously, takes initiative, possesses sound reasoning and problem solving skills, functions as a team member as well as works independently, develops and conducts presentations to management.
Supports efforts to improve both employee engagement and diversity and inclusion with the business organizations supported.
Minimum education required of the position
Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred (Human Resources, Business Administration, Management or related field) or equivalent work experience.
Previous experience in the nuclear industry is strongly preferred.
Minimum experience required of the position
Sr HR Representative: 6+ years of relevant HR experience with a bachelor's degree; 10+ years of relevant HR experience without a bachelor's degree.
Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position
Ability to confidentially manage sensitive records of the company. Excellent verbal and written communications skills. Excellent organizational skills. Agile and able to adapt to evolving priorities.
Communicates well to gain understanding and alignment with clients and subject matter experts in HR and other groups. Able to build effective relationships and credibility with employees and leaders, adapting communications approach and style to the situation and audience.
Working knowledge of MS Office including Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint and PowerPoint. Able to quickly learn new processes and technologies.
Be able to navigate through conflict leveraging interpersonal skills to facilitate resolution.
Ability to work with minimum supervision and as part of a high performing team. Capacity to handle multiple time sensitive projects. Experience with human resources information and data systems. Knowledge of company policies, practices and procedures.
Any certificates, licenses, etc. required for the position
Desired: PHR/SPHR certification (or equivalent).
