Assists HR management team with HR-related tasks; the scope of responsibility varies. Duties include but are not limited to: staffing, record-keeping and employee benefits.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist Recruiting in the posting of open positions, notification to qualified candidates of eligibility status and scheduling interviews.
Verify employment eligibility by performing background checks and contacting previous employers.
Process and track all verification of employment requests (written and verbal).
Process recruiting and staffing documents relating to job applicants and new hires.
Maintain documentation and reports necessary for Affirmative Action Plans.
Process all unemployment claims and maintain reports as required.
Update Federal and State compliance posters in all locations as required.
Assist with preparation and conduct mandatory compliance and regulatory employee training to include but not limited to: New Hire Orientation, employee development courses.
Assist HR Manager to oversee company-wide drug and alcohol program; ensure policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance with applicable FAA and AAR Corp guidance.
Assist Generalists with maintenance of Human Resource Information System (EV5) records and filing.
Maintain the employee handbook and provide new hires and existing employees with updated copies.
Respond to employee inquiries regarding policies and procedures, compensation and benefits.
Assist in the management of performance review programs and implementation of incentive programs.
Collaborates with HR team on all department documentation control requirements to include but not limited to: reviewing approved HR documents prior to publishing, working with department employees to ensure compliance with department publishing format, and Sharepoint HR document accuracy. Maintain records of expired and revised documents.
Maintain company-wide organizational charts as required.
Perform HR outprocessing in coordination with the Benefits Specialist to include but not limited to: scheduling of benefits review, PAR creation, electronic survey and departing email.
Run reports as required using HR information systems and other data sources.
Assist Benefits Specialist to administer benefits programs to include but not limited to: health programs, retirement plans, and disability programs; assists with open enrollment.
Maintain employment records, ensuring compliance with government and company regulations.
Assist in ensuring adherence to federal and applicable state employment laws to include FLSA, EEO and AAP regulations.
Position requires a U.S. Department of State Moderate Risk Public Trust (MRPT).
Perform other duties as assigned.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum of three (3) years in a similar HR supporting role.
Microsoft Office Suite Certification (MOS Expert, MOS Master) or Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint Level 3 Certification.
Ability to test at the required Microsoft Office Suite WASS standard.
Strong knowledge and experience in Microsoft applications.
Experience in working in a customer oriented professional environment.
Excellent attention to detail.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Ability to organize and prioritize multiple work assignments, work with little supervision and work well under pressure.
Knowledge of Human Resources laws and regulations.
