HR Project Manager - Tech Diversity & Inclusion

As part of the Tech, Digital and One Design HR team, Tech Diversity and Inclusion is an important cross functional team working to solve some of our industries most pressing challenges. We partner closely with Tech leadership, HRCs and Enterprise partners to ensure we can deliver real-time impact, while diagnosing and solving pain points longer term. This role will be responsible for driving key efforts for Technology's Diversity and Inclusion workstream. You'll play a critical role in supporting our initiatives including our tech BRG, events, partnerships, projects and priorities as needed.

Role Requirements:

  • Support Diversity and Inclusion initiatives, including working strategically with leaders of current Tech focused Business Resource Groups Women in Tech, Blacks in Tech, and Hispanics in Tech.

  • Manage programs and projects as needed. Examples include coordination of bias mitigation training and interactions with our community partners like ITSMF, HITEC, and NCWIT

  • Work with our team on Diversity focused event planning and execution.

  • Deliver business outcomes with Technology programs, initiatives and strategies leading to industry leading D&I programs and results

Selected Candidate Will:

  • Have a track record of successful program management, bringing the ability to quickly put structure in place to manage tasks and related expectations

  • Display understanding and alignment with D&I initiatives

  • Have excellent communication and partnership skills which are essential for interacting and communicating with key stakeholders at all levels across the company to manage, inform and influence outcomes

  • Demonstrate good judgement and sensitivity

  • Demonstrate the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or Military experience

  • At least 2 years of experience in a program management or a delivery role

  • Demonstrated interest and action in Diversity and Inclusion work

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least 1 year of experience in an HR function, project management, or chief of staff position

  • At least 2 years of experience working with agile teams or project management

  • Experience partnering with teams across Enterprise Learning, Communications, or HR Consulting

  • Demonstrated interest and action in Diversity and Inclusion work

  • Proficient in Google Suite (Sheets and Slides)

Supervision: * Exercised: Classification typically does not supervise. * Received: Incumbent reporting relationship is based on department. * Note: Other reporting relationships may apply Example of Duties The City of Richmond Department of Emergency Communication (DEC) is seeking an experienced Administrative Project Analyst - HR Recruiter to join the team in building a better Richmond. Duties include, but are not limited to: * Supervising, interpreting, developing, evaluating, implementing, coordinating and monitoring general and specific program services, policies, and procedures pertaining to recruitment; * Researching, reviewing, and recommending improvements to current recruitment and outreach program policies and procedures; * Updating and/or assisting in the development of program manuals; * Providing excellent customer service and managing large numbers of candidates; * Ensuring compliance of procedural and operational guidelines within established time frames; * Monitoring recruitment assignments; * Preparing and maintaining a variety of reports and records to evaluate recruitment activities; * Creating and maintaining candidate databases, and utilizing this information to make changes when needed; * Coordinating city-wide programs and citizen services for assigned departments; * Composing a variety of correspondence to include; letters, memos, and e-mails; * Negotiating with and/or advising internal and external contacts regarding the recruitment, background, and onboarding processes; * Planning, developing and coordinating special events, projects, and functions, such as recruitment events, meetings, conferences, training programs, interviews, etc; * Making recommendations in order to assist professionals in performing their work and resolving problems by using knowledge of the program; * Working with outside vendors, websites, career fairs, and other media sources with Recruitment efforts. Qualifications, Special Certifications and Licenses Minimum Qualifications: * Requires Bachelor's degree, Business Administration, or related fields or training equivalent to four years college education; * Requires two years of experience and/or training related to program area; * An equivalent combination of training and experience (as approved by the department) may be used to meet the minimum qualifications of the classification; * No Special Certification or License required. Preferred Qualifications: * At least two (2) years of full cycle recruitment experience; * Two years of experience public speaking/training large groups; * Public Safety experience is a plus; * Experience with Microsoft Office Suites; * Valid Driver's License.
