SUMMARY:

A strategic and operational role in the HR Center of Excellence side, the HR Program Manager designs key programs, establishes performance standards and sets timelines with Global VP of HR, assigns tasks and phases of work in the life cycle of multiple projects. Reports progress of work, goals, and issues. Ensures project schedules are executed and delivered at the quality and timeline planned.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develops and designs HR programs, establishes overall performance standards, timelines and schedules, and makes recommendations for continuous improvement.

  • Develops, implements, and administers compensation programs, policies, and procedures including survey participation, salary structure development, incentive plan design, and market analysis.

  • Works with Human Resources Leaders to create the rollout strategy and plan for of new or updated HR programs.

  • Gathers and analyzes data to develop solutions and drive decision making around HR programs and polices

  • Manages and oversees multiple HR project activities globally. Projects include global workforce planning, career path, employee job mapping, and other global HR projects and initiatives.

  • Assigns phases of work in the life cycle of multiple projects and tracks performance of various team members to ensure the successful delivery of projects.

  • Tracks project milestones and deliverables using appropriate tools.

  • Provides updates on progress of the project to all stakeholders. Reporting will include progress update, problems and proposed solutions. Escalate project risks where appropriate.

  • Contributes to HR operational excellence by identifying and recommending alternative methods to streamline processes.

  • Researches and shares thought papers, best practices, and tools for HR programs.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Solid knowledge of human resources policies and procedures

  • Strong ability to interface with all levels of the organization

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Critical thinking and problem solving skills

  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Strong organization skills and a high level of detail orientation with proven project management capabilities including experience handling multiple key projects at a time

  • Ability to work well independently

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelors' Degree in Human Resources, Business or related field

  • 10+ years in Human Resources

  • 1-3 years of project management experience, supporting HR programs preferred

  • Experience working with global and/or remote team preferred

  • Experience with compensation highly desired

  • HR professional certification (PHR/ SPHR/ SHRM CSP/ SHRM SCP) highly desirable.

Plans, implements, and monitors cost, schedule, technical criteria and reports progress and projections accurately to the customer. Manages and influences manpower and facilities effectively in order to successfully accomplish program objectives. Responsibilities Participates in regular program status meetings to report cost status in accordance with the requirements defined by management. Plays key role in: * Marketing, sales and proposal preparation. * Company planning / forecasting, and company improvement initiatives. * Personnel / public relations functions. * Participates with Contract Administrator in contract fact-finding and negotiations with customer to ensure scope of work is compatible with negotiated price. Generates program plans to implement cost control/reporting and monitors program cost, schedule, technical progress, and configuration management in accordance with company operating procedures. * Monitors subcontract schedule status (and cost status if applicable) through program meetings and required subcontractor reports. Participates in subcontractor meetings as required regarding cost/schedule/technical status and/or problems. Participates in the formulation of work-around plans as required to ensure completion of subcontracted tasks within program objectives. * Motivates the customer, company personnel, and subcontractors to assist in the successful accomplishment of all program objectives. * Establishes guidelines for program tooling requirements. * Participates in staff meetings. Is aware of problems/successes on other programs so that preventive/corrective action can be applied to the program. Alerts other project team leaders to problems/successes. * Manages changes to the contract baseline and initiates ECP preparation, reviews / approves ECP prior to submittal to customer and participates in ECP fact-finding and negotiation. * Utilizes detailed and methodical risk assessment and mitigation approaches to problem identification, solution generation, action to preclude or resolve the problem, and revises plans to preclude recurrence. * Leads the program team in application of the concepts of continuous improvement and consistent conformance with customer expectations. Must actively participate in company improvements or support teams. * Must have a working knowledge of design for manufacturing & assembly (DFMA), design of experiments (DOE), design to cost (DTC) and ensure that these methods are employed at appropriate times in the development process. * Actively participates in marketing and proposal activities. Knowledge of products' capabilities and limitations provides expertise that must be applied to similar products for potential customers. * Maintains a well-organized, neat and safe work area. Immediately terminates any unsafe activities and advises the EH&S contact of the same. * Demonstrates and promotes teamwork and cooperation with team members at all levels in the organization to solve problems and improve processes. * Must be able to carry out other special assignments and projects as directed.
