IDEXX Human Resources is seeking a People Operations Specialist to join the People Operations team. As an HR People Operations Specialist, you will perform a variety of transactional/support activities in Human Resources including support to major functional areas of HR.

As an HR shared service provider will be establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with various operating units, striving for continual process improvement and accurate documentation of processes, quality testing of system upgrades and enhancements, and supporting in special projects as needed.

You will be supporting the employee lifecycle through the employment process, systems and HR functions and by executing the day to day tasks required for all HR functions. This support will include, but is not limited to, recruiting, new hires, background checks, offer letters, Form I-9 collection, benefit and payroll support, etc. You will be utilizing two major HR systems, Workday and Service Now.

This position is hybrid to include Tues / Wed in Westbrook on a weekly basis.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • You will receive transaction information and other information from related departments, outside vendors and others. Work may be call center based.

  • Input data into systems and/or databases according to established guidelines and procedures. Contact related departments, employees, customers, vendors, and others as needed to clarify information.

  • You will audit, validate and reconcile data for accuracy to ensure adherence to established policies. Resolve discrepancies and makes corrections as needed.

  • You may assist with background checks, offer letters, relocation process, and other activities in support of the recruitment process.

  • You may maintain I-9s for all current U.S. employees, track dates of expiring I-9s, follow up with employees and update documentation, and conduct I-9 audits.

  • You will respond to and research questions and issues as needed. Communicate with related departments, employees, customers, vendors, and others to exchange information.

  • You will consult and interpret appropriate policies to resolve issues.

  • You will train employees and others as needed.

  • You will prepare and present reports as needed.

What You Will Bring:

  • High School degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

  • Workday and/or Service Now experience preferred.

  • Knowledge of HR functions.

  • Detail oriented with high degree of accuracy.

  • Able to prioritize tasks with tight deadlines.

  • Able to work both individually and as a team player.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Able to work in a fast-paced, time-critical environment.

  • Able to work with variety of systems and databases including Microsoft Office, Workday, Service Now.

  • Good customer service skills, able to exchange information with wide variety of people.

  • Organized with ability to multi-task

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

Extensive sitting, standing and computer use. Some travel may be required. General office environment. Normal office noise level, with occasional moderate noise. May work independently and virtually from a home setting.
