Currentlty accepting applications for HR / Payroll Coordinator for our corporate office in Poughkeepsie, NY.
Responsibilities
The HR / Payroll Coordinator will work in a team environment, with tight deadlines, confidentiality and discretion. The candidate will provide high-level administrative support with additional projects as assigned.
Prepare paperwork, schedule, and facilitate new hire onboarding process, coordinating with departments to deliver a suitable new hire experience
Handle all administrative tasks for onboarding, new hire orientation, and exit interviews, including entering data into HR information systems and auditing for accuracy and compliance
Provide an effective and dedicated HR advisory service to employees in relation to absence and health issues, organizational change, and all other employee-related matters
Be the primary payroll processor for bi-weekly, weekly payroll. Updates to employee files, bonus/incentive pay, tracking vacation/sick pay, importing expense reimbursements, inputting exceptions, hourly employee validations, and benefit changes
Assist in the communication, interpretation, and upkeep of the employee handbook, employee directory, and organizational chart, and contributes to the development of policies
Skills and Qualifications
Additional HR training or experience is preferred
Paychex experience is a plus
Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, ethics, and cultural awareness
Resourceful, problem-solving aptitude required
Knowledge of MS Office, comfortable learning new technical systems as needed
Proficient in Excel is a preferred
Natural interpersonal and communication skills
Strong detail-oriented and resourceful mindset is mandatory
Bilingual is a major plus - Speak, write and read in Spanish
COMPENSATION $55K TO $65k BASED ON EXPERIENCE
Other: This position is mostly sedentary, low, or manageable office noise levels, heavy phone usage, no lifting over 5lbs.
