The Policy and Process Lead for Human Resources at DP World in the Americas region will be responsible for documenting current processes and policies, overseeing policy development and implementation, as well as managing HR processes and procedures to ensure compliance, consistency, and effectiveness. This role includes process mapping, policy management, process improvement, and documentation responsibilities. The Policy and Process Lead will work closely with cross-functional teams, HR business partners, and senior management to document current processes and policies, develop and implement HR policies and procedures, ensure compliance with local laws and regulations, and drive process excellence and standardization for the America regions.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Develop, review, and update HR policies, procedures, and guidelines in accordance with local laws, regulations, company policies, and industry best practices. Ensure that HR policies are consistent, compliant, and aligned with company values and culture. Develop and implement effective communication and training strategies to ensure understanding and compliance with HR policies and procedures.

  • Manage HR processes and procedures to ensure consistency, efficiency, and compliance. Identify process improvement opportunities and develop and implement solutions to optimize operational effectiveness, streamline processes, and enhance service delivery. Drive process standardization, automation, and best practices to improve HR operations and achieve business objectives.

  • Ensure compliance with local laws, regulations, and company policies related to HR operations. Monitor and assess policy and process compliance, identify gaps and risks, and implement corrective actions as needed. Stay updated with changes in local laws and regulations, and proactively address any potential compliance issues.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, HR business partners, and senior management to align policy and process goals, expectations, and initiatives. Provide guidance and support to HR teams and employees on HR policies, procedures, and processes. Build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, manage their expectations, and communicate policy and process updates, risks, and opportunities. Address resistance and provide support during change transitions.

  • Develop and deliver policy and process-related reports, metrics, and documentation to senior management and stakeholders. Maintain accurate and up-to-date policy and process documentation, including policy manuals, process guides, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

  • Lead change management efforts related to policy and process implementations, including stakeholder engagement, communication, training, and adoption strategies. Ensure smooth transition and acceptance of policy and process changes within the HR function.

  • Act as a change leader by demonstrating enthusiasm for change, promoting a positive attitude, and inspiring others to embrace the organization's vision.

  • Monitor and evaluate effectiveness of change and implementation efforts, identify areas for improvement, and adjust as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate degree in human resources, business, or any other related field or 5+ years of equivalent experience.

  • Ability to operate with autonomy while being adaptable, resilient, and capable of navigating through uncertainty and ambiguity.

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in policy and/or procedure development, process management, or project management, preferably in a multi-national organization.

  • Demonstrate a track record of successfully leading and implementing organizational changes.

  • Experience in policy development and implementation, process improvement, and documentation.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams, collaborate with stakeholders, and influence key decision-makers to support change initiatives.

  • Problem-solving and analytical mindset, with the ability to navigate complex situations and adapt efficient strategies as needed. Proven skills to assess the impact of changes, identify potential risks, and develop a mitigation approach based on data driven resources.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders.

  • The ability to travel within the region, up to 20% of the time, is required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degreein human resources, business, or any other related field.

  • Experience with Oracle HCM.

  • 2+ years working in an Agile environment.

  • PMP or Lean Six Sigma Certification.

  • Change management expertise with a focus on driving organizational adoption.

  • Identify potential risks and resistance points related to change and develop mitigation strategies.
