Major manufacturing firm seeks generalist HR Manager to join their leadership team. Responsibilities include leadership of the HR team, partnership with the plant leaders, creating positive employee engagement through HR best practices. Youll provide support to the operation of this 3-shift, 350,000 sq. ft facility by contributing to achievement of plant performance metrics including safety, quality, delivery, cost, productivity and people. Youll execute HR initiatives including staffing, employee relations, performance management, training & development, employment practices, benefits and legal compliance. .
BS in relevant field plus at least seven years of progressive HR leadership in a manufacturing environment is required. Must have proven success in each functional HR area, knowledge of state and federal laws pertaining to HR practice, significant experience as an organizational change/development leader, and experience managing complex employee/labor relations situations. Preferred candidates will have PHR/SPHR certification and knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies, and experience in both union and non-union environments. Of course, being able to interact well with everyone from floor-production staff to management is definitely needed.
