DESCRIPTION

The Human Resources Manager would be responsible for supporting organizational goals through the effective management of the entire life cycle of the employee. This position provides support to both IT and eCommerce associates located at our Las Colinas facility.

Key Performance Elements:

Recruiting

  • Utilize the most up-to-date recruiting methods to identify and attract top talent

  • Ensure successful onboarding and orientation for all newly hired associates

  • Create and execute action plan to consistently achieve high volume recruiting goals

  • Provide consistent status updates regarding openings to business partners

  • Review and revise job descriptions as required

Employee Relations

  • Partner with management team to address performance and behavior related issues

  • Conduct internal investigations and determine appropriate action plan

  • Facilitate all separations from company

  • Conduct departure interviews and provide monthly recap

  • Provide recommendations to business partners to improve retention and engagement

  • Track and report progress of all compliance-related training

  • Manage annual review process for all associates

  • Manage all FMLA and personal leave of absence requests

  • Provide oversight for work injury program

  • Manage unemployment claims which includes participation in phone hearings

  • Maintain confidential associate records in accordance with company policy

  • Ensure compliance with all federal and state laws and regulations

Talent Development

  • Identify skill gaps and provide training recommendations

  • Partner with Corporate Talent Development team to develop curriculum

  • Facilitate leadership and management training as needed

  • Provide career counseling as needed

  • Champion a culture that encourages growth and development

Internal Communications

  • Ensure that corporate messages are delivered to all associates

  • Provide HR updates during meetings for management team as well as associate

  • Coordinate informational sessions for wellness and benefits open enrollment period

Additional Duties

  • Ad-hoc duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • At least 5 years of progressive Human Resources experience

  • At least two (2) years of Supervisory experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or related field (preferred)

  • Certification in Human Resources (preferred)

  • Must have knowledge of employment laws and policies

  • Strong ability to analyze and interpret data

  • Able to navigate through ambiguity; flexible and adaptable to change

  • Passion for Employee Relations and People Development.

  • Comfortable delivering feedback and coaching up, down and to the side

  • Self-starter who take initiative with minimal direction and understand concepts quickly

  • Ability to recognize the need for involvement of supervisor and other teams and peers

  • A collaborative attitude that personifies hospitality and has a real passion for people

  • Ability to stay calm and work well under pressure and effectively handle multiple, concurrent demands and appropriately prioritize responsibilities

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills

  • Outstanding critical thinking and both quantitative and qualitative analytical skills with the ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, and conclusions to problems

  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and decision making skills to consider the relative costs and benefits of potential actions and to provide recommendations for optimal solutions

  • Proficient Microsoft Office skills and ability to quickly learn new programs when required

  • Demonstrated experience working with HRIS systems and tools (e.g. Oracle, Taleo)

  • Absolute Discretion and confidentiality regarding sensitive information

Responsibilities: * Provides management and direction to the Client HR Business Partner team and the Client HR Benefit team. * SME and Consultant for HR-related requests and issues of Practice Management Clients. * Responsible for developing the plan and execution of the HR Service Delivery for Practice Management. * Primary point of contact for Human Resource support for all Practice Management Client implementations and transitions. * Assists with budget planning and monthly review for the Client HR Team. * Primary point of contact for all broker and TPA relationships on behalf of Practice Management clients. * Responsible for the hiring, performance management, and day-to-day support of the Client HR Business Partners and Benefit Specialists. * Maintains up to date knowledge of HR best practice and employment law (Federal and State) * Assure HR Compliance and Compliance with R1 policies by self and team members: understand, support, enforce and comply with company policies, procedures and Standards of Business Ethics and Conduct. * Perform other related duties as assigned. Required Qualifications: * Undergraduate degree in Human Resources or similar field required. Master's degree preferred. * Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience (progressive HR experience) * 3 years of Demonstrated Leadership * SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) or SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) certification. * Thorough knowledge of human resource management practices, employment related legislation, and benefit administration. * Knowledge of related federal and state regulations. * Highest level of HR technical knowledge. * Highest level of detail, process and compliance orientation. * MS Office skills required/Advanced Excel skills are a must. * Proficient in HR information systems and reporting tools. * Ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities while meeting deadlines is critical * Flexible to handle unexpected challenges. * Positive attitude as well as professional demeanor and consultative approach.
