HRV Conformance Verification Associates, Inc. supplies a highly integrated series of professional engineering and quality assurance/quality control services worldwide that span the steel, concrete, paint, mechanical, and construction industries.

HRV is excited to be experiencing growth! As a result, HRV is seeking a full-time Human Resources Manager. This position directly contributes to the successful accomplishment of the organization's goals and objectives, and is responsible to manage and drive results, focusing on all aspects of Human Resources.

This position requires a highly organized individual, adept in creating and building relationships externally and internally at all levels within the organization. The Human Resources Manager must be sensitive to corporate needs, employee goodwill, and the business needs.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:


  • Manage assigned Human Resources functions within the organization including compliance, safety, organization development, talent acquisition, training and on-boarding, and benefits

  • Provides leadership and expertise to managers and owners on HR and related matters

  • Monitor and provide creative solutions for improving employee engagement and overall company morale

  • Responsible for supervising the Human Resources generalist's activities including talent acquisition, on-boarding, training, and benefits administration

Benefits Administration

  • Maintain and update employee records and benefits files

  • Coordinate daily benefit processing, including enrollments, terminations, claims.

  • Advice and inform employees of the details of the company's benefit programs

  • Resolve benefit - related issues and respond to quires and request in a timely manner

  • Research new employee benefit plans and vendors

  • Liaise with vendors and negotiate and coordinate contracts for new and existing plans

  • Collaborate with payroll and ensure that employers contributions and payroll deductions are processed accurately and in a timely manner

  • Maintain and create records, reports, and documentation in accordance with federal, state, and provider regulations.

  • Maintain and assist with monthly benefit reconciliation

Safety and Training

  • Assist in yearly, Safety Stand Down initiative

  • Oversight and coordination of corporate, compliance and technical trainings

  • Presents and coordinates training sessions both in-person and via webinar

  • Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to continually improve efficiency of the department and services performed

  • Maintains compliance with federal, state and local employment and benefits laws and regulations

  • Maintains human resource information system records and compiles database reports


  • Develop, facilitate, and implement all phases of the recruitment process

  • Collaborate with department managers to develop detailed job descriptions and hiring criteria

  • Assist with the interview process, attending and conducting interviews with managers, directors and other stakeholders

  • Collaborates with the hiring manger during the offer process, identifying and recommending salary ranges, incentives, start dates, and other pertinate details.


  • Minimum 5+ years related experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or a related field

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • HR Certification (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, SPHR, PHR) preferred

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites or related software

This position will work closely with the Club Manager to build a positive and enthusiastic team atmosphere as well as a financially successful club. Essential Duties and Responsibilities * Assist in recruiting, hiring, training and developing a high performing staff consisting of Member Service Representatives, Trainers and Custodians. * Assist in maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for all members, prospective members and guests, and ensuring staff follows superior customer service guidelines. * Assist with Staff Management and provide backup support to Club Manager as needed. * Assist in scheduling and supervising staff to ensure that all shifts are regularly covered. * Ensure staff is providing exceptional customer service at all times. * Assist in resolving or escalating employee issues or concerns. * Assist in administration and processing of all weekly employee payroll as needed. * Provide backup support as needed for any employee who is absent. * Lead by example with involvement in all front desk related activities. * Greet members and guests, providing exceptional customer service to ensure that everyone feels welcome! * Answer phones in a friendly manner and assist callers with a variety of questions. * Check members into the system, tour and sign up new members, log amenities and communicate updates or events to members and guests. * Facilitate all member requests and help to resolve any member issues and questions. * Assist in overseeing cleanliness and maintenance of the club. * Keep the front desk area and lobby clean and orderly. * Participate in regular facility cleaning and club upkeep such as mopping up spills, trash removal, cleaning windows and mirrors and re-racking weights. * Assist in ensuring the safety of employees, members and club property by determining when equipment or facilities are in need of repair and communicating to Club Manager and Facilities Maintenance team in a timely manner. * Assist in ordering of supplies using the specific budget based on club requirements. * Assist in tracking various statistics and reports on a weekly, monthly, and annual basis. * Manage marketing efforts to ensure that all staff are aware and trained on all marketing promotions. * Make daily bank deposits as needed. * Other duties as assigned based on club needs. Qualifications/Requirements * Must be 18 year of age or older and have a high school diploma/GED equivalent required. * One year of customer service experience preferably in a similar gym or retail environment. * Current CPR Certification required. * Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Suite) and the ability to learn systems quickly. * Solid supervisory, diplomacy and listening skills. * Hard working, enthusiastic and energetic, and a passion for health and fitness! * Strong customer service and problem resolution skills. * Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. * Must have a valid driver's license, acceptable driving record and must have own reliable means of transportation. Physical Demands * Continual standing and walking during shift. * Continual talking in person or on the phone during shift. * Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. * Will occasionally encounter toxic chemicals during shift.
