The Human Resources Manager (HR Manager) will maintain and enhance the organization's human resource assets by planning, implementing, and evaluating human resources policies, programs, and practices to meet Company needs for the Corporate offices. The HR Manager will be responsible for maintaining recordkeeping and compliance with Federal and State employment law and regulations. The HR Manager will assist in ensuring the Company has recruitment, training and education, HRIS systems, Benefit Administration, Associate relation activities, and communication processes in place to serve in strategic alliance to the Company's overall goals and objectives.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Recruits, interviews, and recommends applicants to fill vacant positions for Corporate office ensuring that we are searching from a diverse candidate pool and with commitment to our Affirmative Action Plan.
Plans and continually improves the onboarding process and rewards and recognition programs to foster positive attitude toward company goals and initiatives.
Proficient in Human Resource information systems to accurately hire, record, track, monitor, and report on all Associate data including current job descriptions for all Exempt and Non-Exempt Office Associates.
Ensures accurate records of personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, training, education, transfers, performance reviews, and terminations.
Conducts and/or participates in wage surveys within labor market to determine competitive wage and benefit rates.
Assists in preparations and tracking of the budget for human resources operations, alert budget concerns throughout the year, and assists in approving specified invoices.
Prepares employee separation notices and related documentation and conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations for Managerial and Office Associates.
Conduct investigations in response to Associate complaints preparing documentation and recommending action according to policy.
Provide aid and guidance to ensure Affirmative Action processes are timely, accurate and complete for data tracking, maintenance, for plan preparation and education
Maintain and update job descriptions for recruitment, wage administration, and performance purposes for all Managerial and Office Associates.
Prepares reports and recommends policy, procedures, and processes to improve Associate relations and to assist in the achievement of Company goals
Represents organization at HR related hearings and investigations, Company events, Community events, and other Associate related events.
Manages vendor relationships with outside suppliers to provide employee services, such as service awards, , recruitment firms, relocation services, and other miscellaneous programs etc.
Develops needs assessments and makes recommendations for training within the organization to ensure qualified and well-trained human resource assets for all office, administrative and managerial staff
Serve as lead resource for audit requests and compliance requests.
Other assigned duties by Supervisor
Directly supervises non-supervisory Associates. Staff relationship with approximately 200+ exempt and non-exempt office Associates in Statesville location. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in business, human resources, or related degree from four-year college or university and 5 + years' progressive HR experience with a minimum of 3 years' experience as a Human Resources Manager. HR experience required within a in a non-union environment and manufacturing facilitycorporate environment in a manufacturing based company preferred.
Working knowledge of all applicable Federal, State, and other Regulatory laws and regulations to include FMLA, ADAAA, ERISA, EEO, AAP, FLSA, FCRA, USERRA, Wage and Hour, etc. Must also possess proficiency in using Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher) and ability to utilize and improve functions of HRIS system (UltiPro preferred). Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to public groups, regulatory agencies, top management, managers and supervisors, team leaders, and Associates.
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
