Job Description and Responsibilities
We are seeking a Human Resources Intern to join our Pueblo, Colorado team for the Summer of 2024. This individual will learn how to operate in a real mill setting and interact with plant personnel, as well as provide support to human resource functions.
Facilitate positive and proactive front-line employee customer service, resolving questions and concerns to provide employees with requested information on policy, process, etc.
Process employee data changes within HRIS for new hires, terminations, and other status changes
Analyze data and identify trends in partnership with HR group in order to assist with timekeeping and payroll, the develop impactful programs and other solutions
Audit new and existing processes and/or procedures to streamline for improved efficiency
Maintain working knowledge of HR legal requirements related to day-to-day operations, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance
Manage both onboarding and offboarding processes, from facilitation of new hire orientation to exit interviews
Performs other duties as they might be assigned
Requirements
Pursuing a degree in Human Resources or related field
Sophomore year completed
Experience with Microsoft Office suite and employee database systems; Workday HRIS experience preferred
Results-Driven attitude focused on execution & continuous improvement
Strong problem solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Meticulous attention to detail require
Ability to handle multiple tasks at the same time
Ability to work independently with little direct supervision
Term
Compensation
$22-$26 depending on experience
Due to the nature of this position, the selected candidate will not be eligible for additional benefits and bonuses*
