Nalco Champion is seeking an HR intern for the summer of 2019 to assist within the human resources group and college recruiting team.

What you will do:

Highlight of role:

  • Support College Recruiting Team

  • Data entry

  • Fall career fair prep

  • Ordering materials

  • Organize CR storage closet

  • Intern Program

  • Onboarding week logistics

  • Final presentation week

  • *Examples: Catering orders, scheduling / arranging teambuilding events, logistics, etc

  • Minimum Qualifications:

  • Possess High School diploma/GED

  • Minimum two years' work or military experience

  • Possess a valid Driver's License with an acceptable motor vehicle record, and drive and maintain a company vehicle and equipment in clean and proper operating condition.

  • Must be able to work an overnight/graveyard shift

  • Must be 18 years of age or older

  • Willingness to be on-call during off work hours and weekends as necessary

  • Immigration sponsorship not available for this role

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must currently be enrolled as a Senior in college

  • Ability to do some travel

General Summary The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for supporting the Human Resources Business Partner and the organization by administering human resources programs and policies relating to employee relations, employee development, investigations, performance management and employee development. Essential Job Functions * Maintains a safe, secure and healthy environment by adhering to Company/Customer safety and quality standards and practices and to legal regulations, alerting others regarding potential hazards or concern * Adheres to and is a champion of TEAM's Core Values * Assists HR Director with implementation of new HR initiatives to support unit objectives and in line with Vision, Mission, Values, and Strategic Objectives * Works with HR Business Partner to ensure that HR processes, actions and programs for the organization/unit are in alignment with TEAM * Analyze data for trends related to retention, hiring, and other talent related activities * Develop and maintain tools for communicating with employees including department newsletter * Lead projects that improve HR processes and promote best practices * Supports administration of new initiatives * Establishes reputation for credibility, knowledge, integrity and a superior customer service * Works with managers, Employee Relations and others as appropriate to answer questions and solve issues related to employee performance, complaints, terminations, short term disability unemployment claims, HR programs, etc. * Provides accurate and timely response to manager and employee requests for information, assistance and linkages to relevant HR resources * Provides guidance on the discipline process, coordinating with employee relations when necessary * Proactively identifies potential issues and offers / implements suggestions for effective communications and process improvements * Partners with front line management in establishing high standards and levels of accountability for themselves and their employees and driving the performance management process * Provides guidance to front line managers and employees on career development * Acts as a resource for knowing people talent within respective area/department Job Qualifications * High School diploma or equivalent required * Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field preferred * One (1) to three (3) years of experience in HR field * PHR, SPHR or SHRM-CP preferred * Must maintain highest level of professionalism handling information of a confidential nature * Working knowledge of DISA drug screens and background checks a plus * Travel requirement: 0% - 25% Work Conditions * Position is located at the corporate office * Work is conducted in a semi-private office/cubicle setting * Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
