Essential duties & responsibilities: (detailed description)
Provide comprehensive immigration support and guidance for inbound U.S. foreign national employees in accordance with company guidelines, best practices, and established internal and external procedures to ensure compliance
Prepare and manage temporary visa petitions and permanent residency petitions in their entirety (initiating, preparation, responding to requests for evidence, etc.)
Monitor and track individual case milestones, expiration dates, and deadlines
Proactively communicate in accordance with an established communication plan with foreign national employees and other relevant contacts regarding the status of visas and permanent residency cases
Track and monitor critical deadlines and proactively identify risks and issues
Provide support for inbound and outbound travel that includes business visitor's visas, and employment confirmation letters
Generate end-client letters for foreign national contract workers on assignment at Stryker
Independently advise on position sponsorship eligibility, candidate eligibility and prevailing wage requests with Talent Acquisition Independently manage I-9 reverification process including initial intake and on-going maintenance

Education & special trainings:
B.A. or B.S. from an accredited university required
Qualifications & experience:
At least six months of general HR experience
Strong relationship skills and cross-cultural understanding
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent attention to detail
Excellent time management skills that demonstrate the ability and flexibility to work under tight time constraints while prioritizing competing demands across various time zones
Proven track record of strong and successful customer service skills
An empathetic approach to handling employee concerns
Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Knowledge of U.S. government regulations affecting visas and immigration (USCIS, DOL, etc.) preferred
Experience providing immigration guidance to employees, prospective employees, managers, and HR professionals and handling confidential employee information preferred
Experience supporting immigration that includes knowledge of temporary visas and the permanent residency process preferred
