HR -Hse Generalist

Akkodis is seeking an HSE/HR Generalist for a client located in Everett, WA. We are looking for someone with experience with Human Resource environment through work experience or internships. This is a contract-to-hire position.

Salary Range: $64,000 -$75,000 on a W2 Contract to hire. Eligible for overtime if applicable. Pay is dependent on relevant experience.

Summary

Performs administrative responsibilities in support of the Human Resources, health, safety, environment, and facilities functions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Carries out administrative work involving the human resources, hse and facilities functions and maintains related records.

• Advises employee and management personnel on the interpretation of basic personnel policies, programs, and procedures.

• Support recruitment, onboarding, and training activities for new and current employees.

• Maintains and files organizational documents, records, logs, and reports (electronic and/or hardcopy).

• Implement emergency preparedness plans and coordinate response activities.

• Coordinate HSE and awareness training programs, drills, risk assessments, safety audits and monthly committees.

• HSE Develop, implement, and maintain HSE policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

• Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses; develop reports and corrective action plans, according with internal programs and procedures.

• Oversee the maintenance and management of site facilities and security measures to protect employees and property, ensuring they meet HSE standards.

• Coordinate with contractors and service providers for facility repairs, maintenance, and improvements.

• Greets and coordinate all customers, external vendors and visitors entering the building and obtains appropriate documents and approvals to allow entry into secure worksite.

• Promote a culture of continuous improvements in HSE standards across all sites.

• Regular, predictable attendance is required.

• Adheres to safe work practices and contributes to the evolution of the health, safety, and environmental program and culture.

• Other duties may be assigned.

Education and/or Experience

• Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field and 1+ years of Human Resources experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge/Skills

• Ability to support the organization through business acumen and organizational metrics

• Ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions in a manner consistent with the essential job functions and in support of group and company objectives; demonstrated ability to bring new solutions to complex issues.

• Must possess familiarity with technology management and ability to run and analyze HR reports and data.

• Strong relationship management including teamwork, credibility, customer service, community relations, and interpersonal skills working across the organization with various levels of individuals.

• Demonstrable leadership skills and the ability to build consensus, influence, and support change management.

• Demonstrated ability to maintain high levels of personal and professional integrity and to act as an ethical agent who promotes core values, integrity and accountability throughout the organization.

• Demonstrated ability to work in and manage ambiguity and the capability to be adaptable in an evolving work environment.
