Job Description:

About the role:

The HR Generalist will perform Human Resource related duties at the professional level and carry out responsibilities in the employee/labor relations, staffing and recruitment, affirmative action, daily across shift employee relations and other daily Human Resources related activities.

• Oversees hourly staffing and recruitment activities for employees to include the internal and external job posting process.

• Provides guidance and/or training to supervisors and managers regarding resolution of personnel issues and policy and procedure implementation.

• Participates in the investigation process pertaining to allegations of employee misconduct.

• Provides support to hourly staff answering a variety of questions relative to job postings, policies, payroll, benefits, time off, app log in assistance, etc.

• Reports data weekly using various systems.

• Manages administration of benefits for all employees including open enrollment and required pre-employment drug screening.

• Responsible for HR activities including administration of plant policies and procedures including attendance, employee personnel files and records.

• Manages all aspects of bi-weekly payroll and serves as a back-up for weekly payroll processing.

• Demonstrates a highly visible and positive attitude, work ethic and professionalism, provides leadership.

• Works with vendors that provide services for employees such as uniforms and vending.

• Other duties as assigned.

• Maintains cooperative relationship with coworkers and management by communicating necessary information, responding to requests, building report; and participating in problem solving methods.

Important Details: This is a full-time permanent role supporting a 24/7 plant. Preferred hours will be 7:00am-3:30pm with flexibility to service an occasional after-hours need. Compensation range is $60,000-$75,000 depending on experience.

About You:

• Ability to multi-task and juggle competing priorities while delivering a high level of customer service to our employees and vendors.

• Computer skills to include Microsoft Office applications a must.

• UKG Dimensions and Workday experience preferred.

• Strong oral and written communication skills with all levels of the plant, organization, outside vendors, contractors, and customers.

• BS Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or other closely related field is required.

• Three to Five plus years supervisory or Human Resource experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment is required.

• Regularly exercises discretion and independent judgment.
