As an HR Generalist at Superior Tire and Rubber corp., you will play a crucial role in the HR department. You will work closely with HR professionals and other teams to ensure that our employees have a positive experience throughout their employment journey. This role encompasses a broad range of responsibilities. Including recruitment, employee relations, HR compliance and training and development. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about HR practices.
Essential Job Functions:
Recruitment and Onboarding:
Collaborate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs.
Create and post job vacancies on job boards and company websites.
Review resumes, conduct interviews, and participate in the selection process.
Facilitate the onboarding process for new employees, including orientation and training.
Employee Relations:
Address employee questions and issues promptly and professionally.
Assist in the resolution of conflicts and disciplinary matters.
Maintain positive employee relations through effective communication and problem-solving.
HR Compliance:
Stay updated on labor laws and regulations to ensure company compliance.
Help maintain and update HR policies and procedures.
Assist in conducting audits and investigations as needed.
Performance Management:
Support the performance management process, including goal setting, performance evaluations, and development plans.
Provide guidance to managers and employees on performance-related matters.
Training and Development:
Identify training needs and coordinate employee development programs.
Promote a culture of learning and continuous improvement within the organization.
Data Management:
Maintain and update HR databases and personnel records.
Generate HR reports and analytics for management.
HR Projects:
Participate in special HR projects and initiatives, employee engagement surveys, and HR technology implementations.
Present and create engagement and cultural plans that align with company's value statement.
Benefits Administration:
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities but does serve as a coach and mentor for other positions in the company.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
Exempt
Monday through Friday
As-needed support required for events occurring outside of regular work hours, typically 3 - 4 times per year.

Required Education and Experience:
Required to understand and communicate in English.
Associate degree, PHR and human resource experience in a manufacturing environment, bachelor's degree preferred.
Proven experience as an HR Generalist or similar role.
Strong knowledge of HR laws, regulations, and best practices.
Competencies/Skills:
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
HRIS Experience.
Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Outlook and Excel
Able to build trust and maintain relationships at all levels of the organization.
Good judgment/decision making.
Ability to work individually and as a part of a team.
