Responsible for performing a variety of Human Resource activities supporting the corporate employees and other contract employees and programs supported by the Shared Service HR Office.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Oversees the Shared Services Talent Management function to include Employee Relations, Performance Management, Conducts Employee Orientations (when appropriate) and processes all new hire paperwork.
Manages compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
Reviews Policies and Procedures to maintain compliance.
May set up new hires and updates employee personnel/payroll/benefit information in HRIS system.
Assists with new contract transitions and contract close-outs.
Assist with administering and maintaining all records for the Affirmative Action Plan for all Shared Service supported programs.
Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars as required.
Oversees employee investigations, disciplinary meetings and terminations.
Updates and maintains all position descriptions.
Other jobs as assigned.
Bachelor Degree in Human Resources or Business and/or Equivalent of 4 to 6 years of Human Resources experience
Minimum of 2 years as a Human Resources Generalist
Minimum of 5 years of experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point)
Must be able to maintain confidentiality
Intermediate knowledge of human resources laws and regulations
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organization/leadership, research, problem solving and analytical skills
Ability to interact effectively with all employee levels
Excellent attention to detail
Ability to multitask
Excellent computer skills including Excel and working knowledge of HRIS (preferably Deltek Costpoint)
Experience working in government contractor environment
Other Skills and Abilities:
Able to set priorities for each day
Able to work independently
Able to set and meet goals
Must be able to obtain and maintain Security Clearance if required
Must have current Drivers License
Able to work extended hours, nights, weekends
