HR Generalist

What you will do:

As our HR Generalist you will play a pivotal role in shaping our organization's success! You will be responsible for performing a broad range of HR duties on a professional level and work closely with HR management in supporting company and department strategic goals. This position works in our Ashland, OH location.

The job:

Every day, your primary role will be to provide exceptional customer support to our internal employees. You will be responsible for the HR Help desk, onboarding processes, performance management program, job description development and maintenance, managing employee relations, personnel filing, EEO-1 reporting, updating monthly analytical data and metrics, managing the SJE Employee Store, and creating HR communication and marketing materials as necessary. This role also has responsibility to enter, verify, and maintain employee data in HRIS and third-party systems ensuring information is current and accurate.

The skills you need:

To succeed in this role, you must be highly organized with an acute attention to detail, have strong written and verbal communication skills, knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations, have critical thinking and decision-making abilities, proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Work, PowerPoint) and enjoy working on a variety of assignments. Three or more years applicable HR Generalist experience and a bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field are preferred. HR Certification and experience with UKG Pro are a plus!
