MTM is hiring an HR Generalist

  • RR (Employee Relations Specialist) to support the Ride Right Company.

The HR Generalist

  • RR (Employee Relations Specialist) supports both Ride Right and MTM's vision, as well as People & Culture policies and programs, by providing coaching, training, guidance, and policy interpretation to the location Leadership. The HR Generalist

  • RR (Employee Relations Specialist) will ensure compliance with all State and Federal regulation, as well as internal policies and procedures, including HITRUST.

This position is located at our office in Chesterfield, MO


  • Provide Recruitment support for implementations

  • Manage the Ride Right Email burst and HR Ticketing System

  • Ensure compliance with all state, local, federal regulations

  • Manage and maintain data within Workday

  • Conduct workplace investigations

  • Process HITRUST compliant termination requests

  • Ongoing delivery of HR Related Information

  • Manage the Disciplinary Action, Corrective Action Plans (CAP), Performance Improvement Plans (PIP), and termination process

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of MTM and Ride Right's policies, employment law, and common HR practices

  • Maintain a collaborative & positive working relationship throughout the organization

  • Manage relationships with location leaders by monthly communications

  • Ongoing delivery of HR Related Information

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent work experience

  • 3 years' experience in HR Generalist role

  • 5+ years' experience in HR/Employee Relations or similar role preferred

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

  • Strong knowledge of human resources policies/procedures and knowledge of local, state, and federal employment/labor laws

  • Demonstrated experience and skill in conducting workplace investigations, analyzing information in relation to the relevant employment laws, collective bargaining agreements, trends, policies and procedures, and use sound judgment to draw valid conclusions and/or recommendations

  • Knowledge of and ability to understand and apply federal and state employment and labor laws (e.g., EEO, OSHA, FMLA, FLSA)

  • Experience recruiting at all levels

  • Experience with negotiating, counseling, and conflict management

  • Union experience preferred

  • SHRM certification preferred

  • Must possess a valid driver's license

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future

The Generalist will assist on the interpretation of Human Resources programs/policies/procedures to ensure alignment with business objectives and work cultures in achieving business goals while minimizing risk to the firm. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Manages and addresses employee relations issues with business group for appropriate resolution including branches and other departments. Depending on issue, may work with Legal for appropriate action. * Provides general HR policy guidance and interpretation while maintaining compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment. * Serves as consultant/coach/advisor on the day-to-day management issues that arise from business unit staff. * Partners with management to identify opportunities to better leverage the business and human resources needs necessary to achieve business goals and objectives. * Manages the employee life cycle for assigned business units working with management, designated staff in the business group and other specialty areas within HR for a cohesive process. May include assisting in various administration functions involved with onboarding to separation of employment. * Proactively looks for ways to improve/enhance current functions within HR. Leads and/or participates in various HR related projects within Employee Relations area. * Assists in delivering and developing training for management. * Assists with Immigration process, new hire orientations, manager communications and other initiatives as assigned. * Performs and assists other with various other HR projects as needed. QUALIFICATIONS * Bachelor's Degree in HR or related field required * 3-5 years' of HR experience; 2+ years employee relations and/or generalist experience required * Ability to influence change while bringing others together to resolve issues and disputes. * Demonstrated tact, diplomacy, professionalism.
